    FT: Hibernian 2-0 Motherwell

Hibs manager Grant Scott tells BBC Scotland: "I'm delighted to win the game, it was a tough battle out there.

"It was physical, it got a bit feisty at times so I'm just delighted to get through it.

"The second goal gives us a wee bit of comfort, getting the second one just settles us down a bit. The timing of goals is important, it's the oldest thing in football.

"We've had a couple of opportunities but we've not really threatened the goal. We've got to do better in those moments and ultimately Motherwell have kept the ball out.

"For us it's incredible that we're there, the group has been amazing all season and it's going to be a tough job. There's some really good teams chasing us down but it's the best place to be at this point.

    FT: Hibernian 2-0 Motherwell

Motherwell manager Paul Brownlie tells BBC Scotland: "We've got to focus on the positives.

"It was another strong performance, I thought defensively, in parts, we were sound.

"The goal took a bit of stuffing out of us and the second goal on half time was poor to lose it so late but I thought the response in the second half was brilliant.

"We rode our luck a couple of times but we had chances as well and it's those chances we need to turn into goals.

"I would be more annoyed if we weren't creating opportunities. It's just putting the ball in the back of the net, that's seven games we haven't scored in but it's not for lack of trying."

On his nomination for manager of the year, Brownlie added: "I'm a wee bit embarrassed, it's just the type of person that I am.

"This year has been really successful but I'm there because of the players. I have a fantastic support group and I'm where I am because of them but it's fantastic to be nominated."

  5. Postpublished at 22:12 British Summer Time 30 April

    FT: Rangers 0-1 Glasgow City

Rangers manager Jo Potter tells BBC Scotland: "It was really disappointing, it's tough to put your finger on straight after the game because we didn't excel in any areas.

"It's really frustrating, it's really disappointing. I know we'll all feel that hurt because we've had a really good opportunity tonight and come so far away from it. We've got to make sure we're doing something pretty quickly to turn it around.

"If we're not good on the ball, we've got to be damn hard to beat and we weren't. We know we can produce those performances to then come so far off it, we've got to look at all aspects of that game.

"That's two league games back to back that we've lost and we did that just before Christmas. We had a really good reaction to that after the break but we don't have the luxury of that break now.

"Me and my staff we have to put our heads together to try and come up with a plan. We'll look at ourselves first then move on to the players and try and help them as much as possible."

  6. Big win for Citypublished at 22:04 British Summer Time 30 April

    FT: Rangers 0-1 Glasgow City

    Jane Lewis

That could be a significant win for Glasgow City, the hugs between Leanne Ross and Leanne Crichton said it all.

City held firm and although they were as threatening in the second half, they held off a Rangers side who were much better in the second half.

City jump up to second in the table, still three points off leaders Hibs, but very much in this title race.

  7. 'We're not going away' - Rosspublished at 22:01 British Summer Time 30 April

    FT: Rangers 0-1 Glasgow City

Glasgow City manager Leanne Ross tells BBC Scotland: "It becomes really difficult now if you don't take maximum points because the margin for error is really small.

"It's an important three points to get us back in among the title race.

"We should have probably been a couple of goals up in the first half and I'm really disappointed with the chances we created and didn't take but all in all, once we went ahead, I thought our defensive performance was really good.

"The win means absolutely nothing unless we go and put in a decent performance on Sunday. We need to be ready, we need to keep fighting because that title race is not over.

"The most important thing when it comes to this point in the season is the three points. My message to the players is rest up and be ready to go give it your all on Sunday.

"We're not going to go away, people have been writing us off when we've had a poor result but this is going to go down to the wire."

  8. 'There's a ton of belief in that locker room' - Loverapublished at 21:58 British Summer Time 30 April

    FT: Rangers 0-1 Glasgow City

Player of the game Brenna Lovera tells BBC Alba tonight's win over Rangers is "massive".

"After dropping points last week to them, to come here and win is huge for us. It’s huge for morale. Just really proud of the team, that was a full team effort.

"There’s four games left, the top of the table is so tight this year and we just gotta keep going and use this momentum.

"It’s great, it’s good for the league as well and it brings the best out of everyone and every team.

"It’s basically a cup final every time you show up. It’s great for us."

On manager Leanne Ross's pre-match team talk, Lovera said: "She said some things! I think a game like this, on a pitch like this, with the amount of pressure that’s on the game, if you can’t show up and want it and desire it then you don’t deserve to have it.

"It's just the desire and the want. And theres a ton of belief in that locker room that we can play around people and we can make nights lie tonight happen every night."

    Suzanne Lappin
Former Scotland midfielder on BBC Scotland

You can see in her face the effort she’s put into the game tonight.

I think she offers so much to the Glasgow City team - her running, what she does off the ball…

Tonight she’s the difference. She won the penalty, she got there first with heart and desire and she stayed cool to put the penalty away.
