Nic Docherty pulls of a solid challenge to deny Brenna Lovera. The City striker would've had a tap in on Rangers' six-yard line were it not for the defender's intervention.

Decent home backing here at Meadowbank, and they fair thought they were celebrating a goal there as a superb ball was flashed across the face of goal.

Not only am I at the opposite end of the pitch, but at the opposite end of a pitch wrapped in a 12-lane running track, too… And yet I still heard Motherwell manager Paul Brownlie cry to the referee clear as day.

He’ll no have a voice come full-time if he keeps this up.

    Suzanne Lappin

You can’t take your eyes off this league for a second which is great for the game and great for the country.

    It's so tough to call.

At this stage of the season there is no margin for error. This is the time of the season you train hard for.

Both teams will want the three points.

  8. How the table looks...published at 19:33 British Summer Time 30 April

Before things get hectic, let's take a look at the state of play in the top flight before tonight's matches.

    SWPL table
    SWPL table

It's worth noting that Queen's Park and Dundee United have had their relegation to SWPL 2 confirmed.

The SWPL is reducing to 10 teams starting from next season so there's still another top flight team at risk. Three teams are going down this year and one is coming up from the second division so no relegation play-off.

It’s sunshine on Leith tonight. A scorcher in the capital.

The sun is blinding me to my left, so a deek to the right and I see an outdoor boxing class taking place.

Hopefully no punches thrown in 15 minutes or so here…

  13. Rangers ring the changes for SWPL clash with Glasgow Citypublished at 19:23 British Summer Time 30 April

    Rangers v Glasgow City

    Jane Lewis
    BBC Sport Scotland at Ibrox

Rangers have rung the changes for the visit of Glasgow City at Ibrox tonight. Only four players who started Sunday's Scottish Cup semi-final start this evening. Among the seven changes made by Jo Potter, Jenna Fife is back in goal for tonight's league action, while there's no place in the starting line-up for their cup hat-trick hero Jane Ross, who is on the bench.

Glasgow City have made changes too from their Scottish Cup win, but not as many. Only three in all with Hayley Lauder, Brenna Lovera and Claire Walsh returning to their starting XI tonight.

This is a big game with only one point separating the sides in the league. Both will be looking to get a march on the other but with 12 points up for grabs after tonight's meeting, it's not quite win or bust just yet.
