  3. Postpublished at 21:34 British Summer Time 28 August

    AFC Wimbledon 2-2 Ipswich

HUGE penalty shout from the Ipswich supporters as Omari Hutchinson goes down in the box.

Looking at the replay, Hutchinson goes down rather easily after just a little tug on his arm.

    Cardiff City 3-3 Southampton

Romeo Akachukwu has come on for Southampton late on as both sides continue to search for a winner.

    Jarrod Bowen (87 mins)

Well the most 'got penalties written all over it' game ever has a goal!

Jarrod Bowen looks to have won this as a shot strikes him and deflects into the back of the net.

There's no VAR in the League Cup, and I think it would have been looked at if there was. It may have gone in off his arm.

  6. goal

GOAL - AFC Wimbledon 2-2 Ipswichpublished at 21:30 British Summer Time 28 August

    Conor Chaplin (86 mins)

Heartbreak for Wimbledon. They were defending so well but a high ball into the box was not dealt with by goalkeeper Owen Goodman and Conor Chaplin was able to nod Ipswich level.

Can either side find a winner or is this going to penalties?

They missed a penalty but Colchester haven't given up and are still putting pressure on Brentford late on.

Time running out for Swansea. Can League One's Wycombe hold on?

  10. 'Tonali has enjoyed his night'published at 21:28 British Summer Time 28 August

    Nottm Forest 1-1 Newcastle

    Kevin Nolan
Former Newcastle midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Sandro Tonali will be pleased. It will be music to his ears being booed off.

He has enjoyed his night and well done to him.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:28 British Summer Time 28 August

    Nottm Forest 1-1 Newcastle

Sandro Tonali's has managed just over an hour on his return to action. He is replaced by Sean Longstaff, while Tino Livramento is on for Kieran Trippier.

There's also a fan knitting in the stands. Why not I suppose.

We're into the final 10 minutes and Ipswich are well and truly camped inside the Wimbledon half as they search desperately for an equaliser.

The League Two side are standing firm so far!

This competition has been a banana skin for us, whichever league we’ve been in. This season seems to be no different!

    Wolves 2-0 Burnley

There's the final whistle and it's Wolves' first win of the season as they book their spot in round three.

Gary O'Neil's side bounced back well from their 6-2 defeat to Chelsea as they limited Burnley to very little in front of goal.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 21:24 British Summer Time 28 August

    West Ham 0-0 Bournemouth

Good stop by Neto to deny a fierce long ranger from Jarrod Bowen, who has been pretty quiet otherwise in this game.

  17. Postpublished at 21:23 British Summer Time 28 August

    Cardiff City 3-3 Southampton

Cardiff City are looking the most likely to score at the moment with a few wayward passes from Southampton inviting them in.

This one surely isn't ending in a draw?

  18. Postpublished at 21:21 British Summer Time 28 August

    AFC Wimbledon 2-1 Ipswich

Ipswich are looking dangerous now as Jack Clarke dances his way across the 18-yard box before slipping in Ben Johnson.

Johnson's cross is well cleared by a defiant Wimbledon defence.

  19. 'Firmly up for grabs'published at 21:21 British Summer Time 28 August

    Cardiff City 3-3 Southampton

    Ian Mitchelmore
BBC Sport Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium

We haven't had a goal for more than 10 minutes now. I'm not quite sure what's going on.

Southampton are looking to turn the screw, but Cardiff remain very dangerous on the counter-attack and have just seen Cian Ashford go very close to scoring his side's fourth.

With around 15 minutes left, this one is firmly up for grabs.

  20. Postpublished at 21:20 British Summer Time 28 August

    Nottm Forest 1-1 Newcastle

All pretty even now in this one as both sides chase a winner.

Newcastle have not been quite as free-flowing going forward as they were in the first half.
