  1. 'Character's definitely been questioned'published at 18:06 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

    FT: Hibernian 3-1 Ross County

More from Hibernian head coach David Gray...

"The character's definitely been questioned, and the result was the most important thing today. It definitely looks much better with three points on the board.

"If we don't kick on from here, it can go in the other direction. The next four games will be difficult, but it's teams round about us. Hopefully this is a turning point in the season."

    FT: Hibernian 3-1 Ross County

Hibernian head coach David Gray tells BBC Scotland: "I'm delighted with the win. That's the most important thing. Would I have liked us to play better? 100%. We've played better this year and not picked up points.

"Credit to Ross County. They started the game far better than we did. Once we settled down a bit, I thought we came into the game.

"The goal just before half-time was huge for us. It makes the team talk slightly different and the players reacted really well to that.

"We started the second half on the front foot, we created numerous chances - still lacked a bit of quality - but managed to get ourselves in front.

"That's three penalties we've missed this season. Elie steps up and says he wants to take [the second one], which shows courage. From that moment, we had to defend a lot, but did it well. To then score on the break came at an important time."

  3. 'Dream come true'published at 18:02 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

FT: St Johnstone 2-3 St Mirren

St Mirren scorer Evan Mooney, 17, told BBC Scotland: "I am delighted, it all came at me so fast. I have just got to be patient for my chance and when my chance came, Killian Phillips flicked it on and I managed to put it in the net. I am buzzing.

"Massive, it is only my second appearance for the club and being so young I have just had to be patient and take everything on board and take my chance when it comes.

"The gaffer said when I came on, 'just come on and have an impact and try and affect the game' and I thought all the subs did that when they came on.

"I have been playing for St Mirren since I was 12 in the academy and just building my way up and being patient, training with the first team , waiting until I get my chance and finally it has come."

"It is like a dream come true."

  4. Robinson on Taylor injury & change of penalty takerpublished at 17:59 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

FT: St Johnstone 2-3 St Mirren

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson also addressed Richard Taylor's injury, with the defender being taken off on a stretcher, and why Roland Idowu took the re-taken penalty for the winner, rather than the original taker, captain Mark O'Hara.

"We don't feel Richard Taylor's injury is quite as bad as it appeared," Robinson said.

"It looked like Mark O'Hara tore his thigh as he took the penalty."

  5. St Mirren 'deserved a little bit of luck'published at 17:55 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

FT: St Johnstone 2-3 St Mirren

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Scotland: "I thought we were outstanding in the first half, it was probably our best away performance of the season.

"We started the second half completely different, credit to St Johnstone as well - they started brightly.

"I have to credit the players because after the second goal it's easy to crumble. Last week we questioned the organisation and the desire to defend the box and be clinical at the other end. We proved that today and got a little bit of luck with the penalty having to be re-taken.

"We've been on the end of some strange decisions but I think the handball was the clearest decision you could see. I didn't watch either of the penalties so I didn't see if Josh Rae was off his line or not.

"We deserved a little bit of luck today with our first-half performance and our response to going 2-1 down. For the younger kids to come on and shine today, I'm absolutely delighted."

Airdrieonians are nine points adrift at the bottom of the Championship but are a point closer to Dunfermline Athletic.

Player/manager Rhys McCabe said: "Our second-half performance probably merited three points.

"We find unfortunate timing with them getting the second goal and you're thinking it's one of those days again but credit to the boys for their resilience. They come back and roll the sleeves up when needed."

Greenock Morton boss Dougie Imrie commented: "We've dropped two points today. I can't sugar coat it anymore, I've backed this team all season, I was looking for more today.

"In spells, yes, I got it but overall it wasn't good enough, especially in the second half. I love everyone one of them but they need to be showing more."

  7. Tighter at top of Championshippublished at 17:44 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

And here's the mid-December version of the Scottish Championship table.

Hamilton Academical, Raith Rovers and Greenock Morton have all moved up a place today, while Dunfermline Athletic have slipped into the bottom two.

Bottom side Airdrieonians face Livingston in Tuesday's second-tier fixture. Victory for Livi would take them to within two points of leaders Falkirk.

  8. Winners all climb tablepublished at 17:40 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

And here is that Scottish Premiership table.

Today's winners Motherwell, St Mirren and Hibernian all move up the table and the losing sides - Dundee United, Ross County and St Johnstone - all drop down.

The table will change again tomorrow, with bottom two sides Kilmarnock and Hearts looking to move up by winning their encounter at Rugby Park. Should that game end in a draw, both will move above Ross County and St Johnstone, who will take over the bottom two places.

  9. 'Table doesn't lie' for St Johnstone bosspublished at 17:37 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

FT: St Johnstone 2-3 St Mirren

St Johnstone manager Simo Valakari tells BBC Scotland: "A lot of emotions in the match.

"We started very badly, it was my fault I put three strikers there.

"At half-time we were able to talk and change a couple of positions then in the second half it was very good. We scored two beautiful goals.

"We needed to have cool heads, at 2-1 we still wanted to push instead of seeing the game out then we lose the whole match, which is disappointing.

"It's the hardest lesson we have learned because we were totally in control. I understand the players wanted to go for the third and fourth goal and we lost it a little bit, the emotions, the street smartness. We need to learn from that.

"We need to start getting those points. We are not yet there that we can play a full 90 minutes, we need to learn to do that. We have extremely good spells in our game, we have some very bad moments as well. Nothing has changed where we are in our process.

"The table doesn't lie, we are not doing enough good things to climb the table."

    FT: Ayr United 5-2 Falkirk

Alfie Bavidge scored twice, including this header, as Ayr United recorded a remarkable win over Falkirk.

Ayr twice trailed but Falkirk played most of the game with 10 men and the result has had big implications for the table.

Falkirk remain top by five points but Livingston, in second, have a game in hand. Ayr are two points further behind Livi.

  19. FULL-TIME Hibernian 3-1 Ross Countypublished at 17:07 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

I don't think anyone who watched today's game at Easter Road will forget it.

Controversy and goals galore as Eli Campbell stunned Hibs with Ross County's early opener before Dwight Gayle for a disputed leveller right on half-time.

Nicky Cadden's second-half penalty was saved but team-mate Elie Youan converted their next one and Josh Campbell added a late third, which County also challenged the officials over.

  20. FULL-TIME St Johnstone 2-3 St Mirrenpublished at 17:04 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

And the three points to go to the Paisley Saints.

Killian Phillips with St Mirren's opener and Evan Mooney with their leveller after goals by Makenzie Kirk and Benjamin Kimpioka had turned the game in St Johnstone's favour.

Then the late drama, a twice taken penalty - with the first by Mark O'Hara saved - was covered by Roland Idowu for the winner.
