We now have at least a goal in every Scottish Premiership match. It's not even a quarter past three...

  3. goal

GOAL St Johnstone 0-1 St Mirrenpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

    Killian Phillips

    But, it may be offside...

Seeing the replay, he's a mile on!

Killian Phillips makes a great run into the box - it's Lewis Neilson keeping him onside - and just side foots beyond Josh Rae.

  4. RED CARD Luke Graham (Falkirk)published at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

    Ayr United 0-1 Falkirk

Falkirk have the lead but they are now down to 10 men after Luke Graham is dismissed after seemingly handling a long ball as attacker George Oakley chased at Ayr United long ball.

  5. goal

GOAL Motherwell 1-1 Dundee Unitedpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

    Sam Dalby, penalty

What a start to today's Scottish Premiership.

Sam Dalby tucks the penalty straight down the middle.

That's seven goals for Dalby - making him the league's top scorer.

  6. PENALTYpublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

    Motherwell 1-0 Dundee United

There's a VAR check for a penalty - to Dundee United.

Louis Moult is caught by a Motherwell defender in the box after a cross comes in. It looks pretty clear to me... and Nick Walsh is coming across to the screen.

    And it's given!

  7. Ross County goal standspublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

    Hibernian 0-1 Ross County

VAR check complete and the Ross County goal scored by Eli Campbell stands.

  8. VAR check on Ross County goalpublished at 15:07 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

    Hibernian 0-1 Ross County

The Ross County goal is being checked for possible offside.

  9. Postpublished at 15:06 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

    St Johnstone 0-0 St Mirren

Adama Sidibeh gets the first real chance of the game, he makes a nice run into the box before letting one fly. It's not the cleanest of touches and St Mirren goalkeeper Ellery Balcombe gathers easily.

  10. goal

GOAL Hibernian 0-1 Ross Countypublished at 15:05 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

    Eli Campbell

Just moments after Jordan Smith makes a wonderful save to deny Ross County forward Noah Chilvers, the visitors lead.

Scott Allardice's header bounces off the post, but Eli Campbell is on hand to nod home the rebound from a tight angle.

    St Johnstone 0-0 St Mirren

    Tyrone Smith
BBC Sport Scotland at McDiarmid Park

Having spoken to Simo Valakari yesterday and now today, while he is delighted with St Johnstone's improving performances, you get the feeling he would take the ugliest of wins to get a much needed three points.

As for St Mirren, Stephen Robinson just told me he doesn't feel his substitutes have made the impact coming on in the past few games that he would have liked - with speed merchant Toyosi Olusanya among the subs today, he certainly has some heavy artillery to call upon this afternoon if needed.

  12. goal

GOAL Motherwell 1-0 Dundee Unitedpublished at 15:03 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

    Apostolos Stamatelopoulos

And what a start for Motherwell!

Marvin Kaleta reacts quickest to a loose ball in the box, firing in a cross which Stamatelopolous diverts in.

    No Watt, so what?

  14. KICK-OFFpublished at 15:02 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

    And off we go...

  15. 'Only one stat matters'published at 15:00 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

    Hibernian v Ross County (15:00)

Hibernian head coach David Gray tells Sportsound: "[Mykola Kuharevich] was forced off against Celtic with a groin issue which he's not recovered from. Lewis Miller has been nursing an ankle injury and also misses the game.

"We've got an opportunity today against a team in eighth, and if we beat them, we go above them. That's how quickly it can change. We know it's going to be a difficult game but I want to see the players start the game with a positive mindset.

"There's loads of stats that have given me belief but there's only one stat that matters. It's about winning games of football."

  16. Middleton 'can handle' playing wing-back - Goodwinpublished at 14:58 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

    Motherwell v Dundee United (15:00)

Dundee United boss Jim Goodwin tells Sportsound: "Glenn [Middleton] has played that [wing-back] role numerous times in his career. Defensively, he can handle the situation and he gives us a good attacking outlet going forward.

"We're really pleased with the results, we're on a decent run of unbeaten games. Goal difference is positive too. Defensive record is excellent. We played well last weekend and we're looking for a continuation of that.

"Motherwell have beaten us twice this season, albeit both fixtures were close games and small margins decided it."

  17. 'You don't want to lose three in a row'published at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

St Johnstone v St Mirren (15:00)

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Scotland: "Alex [Iacovitti] has trained for a month now nearly. He adds that real steel and organisation that we've maybe been missing.

"The last two games we've lost after decent performances through set plays.

"You don't want to lose three in a row. We've had that little spell early on in the season and it happens. Sometimes you play better than the results suggest and I believe we've done that."

  18. Kettlewell criticises 'overreaction to bad run'published at 14:51 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

    Motherwell v Dundee United (15:00)

Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell tells Sportsound: "[Losing] Tony Watt is a disappointment. We feel he's getting up to speed, he's a real threat. But we bring in [Tawanda] Maswanhise, having scored two against Dundee United previously.

"We felt there was an opportunity to freshen things up in the middle. Ewan Wilson has been unbelievable for us. He's flown right under the radar, one of our academy graduates. This is the first time he's not started for me.

"We're starting to see a stringer squad, our bench is stronger, we're getting one or two really good players coming back in.

"What frustrates me was the complete overreaction to three bad results. We were in a 15-game winless streak last season. We're two points off fourth this season. That's not bad going for Motherwell."

  19. St Johnstone 'need to focus on things we can control'published at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

St Johnstone v St Mirren (15:00)

St Johnstone manager Simo Valakari tells BBC Scotland: "As always we need to attack as a team and we need to defend as a team.

"We need to do things right, attack in a good way but we need to be very solid and compact when we defend.

"If you can put performances in day after day, game after game, the results will come.

"We can control our effort so we need to focus on the things we can control. Then we believe and we know the results will follow."

  20. County 'have to be ready' for Hibspublished at 14:45 Greenwich Mean Time 14 December

    Hibernian v Ross County (15:00)

Ross County manager Don Cowie tells BBC Scotland: "Kacper [Lopata] comes back after being injured and it's a straight swap in the wing-back area with Jimmy Brown for Michee Efete.

"Hibs have got a really good squad, lots of good individual players. They will see it as a real opportunity today and we have to be ready for that.

"Our season is never defined by defeats by Celtic and Rangers, but it can have an impact and today is the chance to rectify that."
