  3. FPL players to avoid this weekpublished at 12:52 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

The trickiest Fantasy Premier League decisions to be made at the moment are around strikers and, with only 11 gameweeks left, getting a precious transfer right could make or break your season.

Chris Wood is the top-scoring striker and, despite facing Manchester City this week, is a solid hold for the rest of the season.

But there are question marks - some bigger than others - around the next six forwards in the FPL scoring charts:

Alexander Isak, Newcastle - has a blank next week, slight injury worries.

Erling Haaland, Manchester City - blooming expensive.

Matheus Cunha, Wolves - great fixtures, signed by nearly 700,000 managers last week but now banned for at least three games after his FA Cup red card.

Ollie Watkins, Aston Villa - not setting world alight with his form and also blanks next week.

Jean-Phillipe Mateta, Crystal Palace - popular signing with 200,000 bringing him in this week, eight goals in eight games but now likely out injured for a few games and blanks next week.

Yoane Wissa, Brentford - solid choice, cheapest option but with horrible fixture run.

    Cheers, Luke.

Wissa is a shout. I've not owned him once this year.

Brentford's upcoming fixtures do scare me a bit, mind.

I've had to bring in Wissa for Cunha and bench Hall for Robinson

  6. FPL: Player to watch this weekpublished at 12:42 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    Savinho, Manchester City, midfielder, £6.2m

If you are looking at City's upcoming fixtures but don't want to sign a striker, then what about bargain Brazilian Savinho?

He has started City's past four league games and now has 10 assists - more than any midfielder except Salah and Bukayo Saka.

Pep roulette is less likely to be an issue for the rest of the season too, with City out of Europe, meaning his starting place could be fairly secure.

  7. Five players you need in FPL this weekpublished at 12:37 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

    • Daniel Munoz, Crystal Palace, £5m - Ipswich (h)

The Colombian has a goal or assist in six of his past seven games in all competitions, which is incredible for a right-back.

His 24 shots in the box is the second highest among defenders and a home tie against Ipswich is juicy, even though they have scored in their past five games.

    • Trent Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool, £7.4m - Southampton (h)

The game's best defender at home to a team trying to avoid the worst-ever Premier League season?

It's a straightforward choice and your only worry is whether Alexander-Arnold is rested, with a cup final and Champions League fixtures coming up for Liverpool.

Conor Bradley is injured, though, and you can't second guess what Arne Slot might do.

    • Mohamed Salah (captain), Liverpool, £13.8m - Southampton (h)

One of the easiest captain choices of the season, I'm expecting at least two returns.

    • Christopher Nkunku, Chelsea, £5.7m - Leicester (h)

Pedro Neto did a great job in this spot last week but Nkunku was perhaps even more impressive and has a much bigger goal threat than his Portuguese team-mate.

He's likely to be playing in the number nine position again, from where he had four shots and scored once against Southampton.

    • Beto, Everton, £5m - Wolves (a)

With West Ham at home next week, Beto is a great shout for the next two weeks and a decent budget option for the rest of the season.

Despite a first blank in five games last time out against Brentford, his xG was 0.62. For context, it was 0.63 against Leicester when he scored twice.

So he is getting in positions to score and the fixture list shouldn't necessarily scare you with this David Moyes-led Everton side.

While we wait for the next batch of news conferences coming our way.

    Fancy some FPL tips?

I personally need to make two changes. Lewis Hall and Matheus Cunha (who I transferred in last week, cheers Matheus) both need to come out before tomorrow's deadline.

Any shouts of who I could bring in? Maybe I'll take a look at some of these...

  10. 'You have to recover from a bad result and rise again'published at 12:21 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

Chelsea v Leicester (Sun, 14:00 GMT)

    Leicester City

Finally from Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy: “You have to take advantage of this time, we had five sessions, five days together here including today and tomorrow, to prepare for the game. Those seconds, every second we use, we’ve always done that to work with the team.

“Of course you have to recover from a bad result and rise again but this team is capable of doing it. We are not the only team in this situation where we have to deal with loss after loss, more teams are doing that around us so we have to make sure we are ready for Sunday.”

  11. 'If you can't win, you want to protect the result'published at 12:15 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

Chelsea v Leicester (Sun, 14:00 GMT)

    Leicester City

Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy on whether all the games now are must-win or games they must not lose: "The approach and it always has been, is to get the maximum out of games and always plan to be able to win one way or the other. If you can't win, you want to protect the result.

"In the end it depends how the game goes. In that sense it’s a similar approach for Sunday to all the other games."

  12. 'For now' Coulibaly availablepublished at 12:10 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

Chelsea v Leicester (Sun, 14:00 GMT)

    Leicester City

Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy on team news: "He [Woyo Coulibaly] is fine. He trained and we have today and tomorrow to train, for now he is available.

    "So far no [fresh injuries]."

  14. 'One of the purest human beings you'd ever come across'published at 12:01 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

Tottenham v Bournemouth (Sun, 14:00 GMT)

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou on Guglielmo Vicario's gesture towards the fans: "Vic is very, very passionate about this football club. He is very passionate about what we're trying to do here and he wants to win and wants everyone on board with that. If people think there is one bad or vindictive bone in Vicario's make up, they don't know the man that I do.

"Viacrio is one of the purest human beings you'd ever come across. Whatever he does, he thinks it's best for the team, best for the football club because he really cares."

  16. Davies has 'a chance' to returnpublished at 11:53 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

Tottenham v Bournemouth (Sun, 14:00 GMT)

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou on Ben Davies' injury: "I'm not sure. He's actually training at the moment, so we'll see.

"He's definitely progressed and he feels good. Let's see how we go over the next 24/48 hours. He's a chance, but we'll see how he goes."

  17. Romero and Van de Ven could featurepublished at 11:51 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

Tottenham v Bournemouth (Sun, 14:00 GMT)

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou on not using Micky van de Ven or Cristian Romero against AZ Alkmaar and whether they could face Bournemouth: "They are a chance. To be honest, when I saw the pitch the night before I pretty much made up my mind I wasn't going to risk them last night. It wasn't a great pitch, it was steady under foot and was a game where I didn't need to kind of expose them.

"A couple of extra days of fitness, training and recovery, hopefully both will be in line to feature."

  18. 'We still have a desire to move up the table'published at 11:46 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

Tottenham v Bournemouth (Sun, 14:00 GMT)

    Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou on playing Bournemouth while AZ Alkmaar have a free weekend before the second leg: "We definitely need another game to get the squad to get to where we need it to get to. Giving us the opportunity to get more game time to certain guys. Last night's disappointment, the best way to sort of put that to one side is to perform at the weekend.

"Our league form hasn't been too bad over the last recent period and we want to continue that. The Europa League is massive emphasis for us. We still have a massive desire to move up the table and we get that opportunity on Sunday."

  19. 'We weren't anywhere near the levels against AZ Alkmaar'published at 11:43 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March

Tottenham v Bournemouth (Sun, 14:00 GMT)

    Tottenham Hotspur

More from Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou on the AZ Alkmaar loss: "I don't think last night was a matter of individuals. I thought as a collective, we just weren't anywhere near the levels we had to be.

"It's tough playing away in Europe, we knew that. The crowd create a really good atmosphere for the home side, they got the goal which gave them some momentum.

"Last night was not about individuals. It's about the collective, we were nowhere near the level we had to be."
