  3. Hutchison hat-trick helps Hearts to big win v Montrosepublished at 18:02 BST 12 October

    Hearts 7-0 Montrose

Bayley Hutchison's hat-trick helped Hearts to a thumping 7-0 win over Montrose.

Carly Johns got the hosts off the mark from the penalty spot after being pulled down in the box and striker Bayley Hutchison added a second just before the break.

Lauren Wade got Hearts' third just three minutes into the second half before Hutchison bagged her second, and Hearts' fourth, with half an hour to play.

Kayla Jardine also got on the scoresheet before Hutchison completed her hat-trick. Striker Georgia Timms rounded off the scoring for Hearts with five minutes to play at Oriam.

The victory moves Hearts joint on points with Rangers but above them into fourth thanks to their superior goal difference. Montrose meanwhile slip to eighth following Aberdeen's victory earlier.

  4. Celtic cruise to victory over Motherwell in eight-goal thrillerpublished at 16:00 BST 12 October

    Celtic 7-1 Motherwell

Celtic maintain pressure on Glasgow City at the top of the SWPL table with an emphatic 7-1 win over Motherwell.

Motherwell held off Celtic for almost half an hour before an impressive bit of individual skill from Morgan Cross gave the hosts the advantage.

Striker Saoirse Noonan and full-back Emma Lawton added to Celtic's tally in the first half, marking a first goal of the season for Scotland defender Lawton.

Kelly Clark also netted her first of the season when she added Celtic's fourth with just over 20 minutes to play.

Cross followed up the captain's goal with her second a minute later before Maria McAneny fired in Celtic's sixth.

Saoirse Noonan got her second of the game on the 90th minute when she smashed home Amy Richardson's cross.

The result leaves Celtic three points behind Glasgow City at the top of the SWPL while Motherwell fail to make up ground on the top five and are joint on points with Aberdeen.

  5. Hibs leapfrog Rangers with comeback victorypublished at 15:48 BST 12 October

    Hibernian 3-2 Rangers

Hibernian came from two goals down to defeat title rivals Rangers and climb up to third in the SWPL table, leapfrogging Leanne Crichton's side in the process.

Katie Wilkinson put Rangers' ahead after 12 minutes, before converting from the spot after Siobhan Hunter had pulled Jodi McLeary down in the box.

That two-goal cushion barely lasted 10 minutes before Rosie Livingstone scored a comical goal - going down in the box, getting to her feet, scrambling the ball away from the keeper, hitting the post, and then tucking in the rebound.

That gave the hosts hope, and two goals in four minutes turned the game on its head.

First, Eilidh Adams squared for top scorer Kathleen McGovern to tuck home, before Tegan Bowie turned her marker inside out before squaring to Adams, who fired in a great finish.

It's only Rangers' second loss of the season, but their second consecutively in the league after losing to Glasgow City a fortnight ago, and it leaves them six points behind the league leaders.

  6. Glasgow City stay top with win over Partick Thistlepublished at 15:04 BST 12 October

    Glasgow City 2-0 Partick Thistle

Glasgow City maintained their spot at the top of the SWPL table with a 2-0 victory over Partick Thistle.

Lisa Forrest bagged her second goal in as many games to give City an early advantage at Petershill Park.

Erin McLauglin almost grabbed a second for the hosts in the opening stages of the second half but was denied by an excellent stop from Thistle goalkeeper Jeni Currie.

It was Sofia Maatta who did get the second for City when she latched onto Emily Whelan's pass and smashed home from a few yards out.

City were awarded a penalty with a minute left of the 90 but a super stop from Currie denied Nicole Kozlova.

The victory leaves City three points clear of Celtic in second while Partick Thistle are left second bottom, five points above Hamilton Accies.

  7. Aberdeen ease past struggling Acciespublished at 14:54 BST 12 October

    Aberdeen 5-0 Hamilton Accies

Aberdeen edged closer to the top half of the SWPL table with a comfortable 5-0 victory over struggling Hamilton Accies.

Kerry Beattie pounced onto a spilled cross from Accies keeper Erin Halliday and bundled the ball into the back of the net to give Aberdeen the advantage in the first half.

Eva Thomson squeezed in a second, fashioning a chance from almost nothing, to double the hosts' lead early into the second half and Aimee Black added a third minutes later when she pounced onto a loose ball in the box.

Mya Christie grabbed a fourth when she capitalised on another spilled ball from Accies keeper Halliday and a second from Black made it five.

The result leaves Accies rock bottom of the table on zero points while Aberdeen move joint on points with Motherwell in sixth.
