Manor Solomon's goal was the eighth-fastest in the tip four tiers of English football this season
Leeds United eased past a toothless Norwich City at Elland Road to go back to the top of the Championship.
Sheffield United had leapfrogged Leeds to the summit for the second time in a week with victory at Swansea on Tuesday, but the West Yorkshire side wasted no time in taking back top spot.
The hosts netted the Championship's fastest goal of the season when Dan James' first-time cross found Manor Solomon to slam in from six yards after just 31 seconds.
But Daniel Farke's side had to wait until the second half for the decisive second goal when Solomon's far-post cross picked out James to cushion a neat finish back into the far corner.
A seventh win in an unbeaten 11-game league run puts Leeds a point ahead of the Blades, while an eighth away defeat of the season drops Norwich to 12th.

Dan James added a second-half goal to his early assist
The slick one-touch build-up to the lightning opener, involving the excellent Jayden Bogle, Brenden Aaronson and James, underlined the Whites' confidence on home soil.
They have racked up 34 points from a possible 36 since their only home defeat of the season - to Burnley on 14 September - and have scored 23 goals and conceded just two in their past nine league matches at Elland Road.
Despite making the worst possible start, the visitors responded positively, committing numbers forward, but like at Bramall Lane failed to muster an attempt on target.
Leeds also struggled to turn neat build-up play into clear chances before the break and did not seriously test Angus Gunn again until first-half stoppage-time, when the Norwich keeper turned Bogle's mis-hit cross around the post.
United midfielder Ao Tanaka was lucky not to see a second yellow card early in the second half for a scything challenge as he tried to stop a quick Norwich break.
Gunn dived to his right to parry Joel Piroe's low deflected drive around the post, but despite having just one touch in the Leeds box in the opening hour, Norwich remained in the game and sent on forwards Josh Sargent and Ante Crnac.
James' seventh of the season, after Solomon returned the favour for the opening goal, settled the Elland Road nerves and Gunn had to beat away Bogle's swerving drive and Largie Ramazani's dipping long-range effort late on to prevent a third.
Leeds face a bigger test next up with a trip to promotion rivals Burnley on Monday evening, while Norwich host fellow mid-table side Swansea on Saturday lunchtime.
Farke: 'Not our most shiny performance'
Leeds United boss Daniel Farke told BBC Radio Leeds:
"We were solid and dominant in our defending - we didn't give away an opportunity for the opponent.
"We scored an early goal and sometimes you think 'it's a nice easy evening, once we are in the lead we normally win the game' and then you do, perhaps, one step less, one or two per cent less concentrated, so I don't think we were good in the detail today.
"We were dominant but could have dominated the game much more and could have created much more.
"The pitch was not great today and the last game was just two-and-a-half days ago, so many explanations but I think it was not our best performance.
"But at this time of the season in January after many games, it's how you should win such a game. Pretty mature, pretty good."
Norwich City head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup told BBC Radio Norfolk:
"On Saturday we found a bit of flow and rhythm and created more dangerous moments than we did today.
"Today it was obvious for us to see that we need those (extra) 10/15% to realistically say that we can compete against Leeds - that's not where we are. We tried to give it a shot but it was not enough.
(On a possible second yellow card for Ao Tanaka): "I can't say much because that would be the headline about the game and the fact is they were better than us.
"Of course the game picture could have changed a little bit, but we have to admit that we not in a place at the moment where we can go out and play against Leeds away and say that we have to win."
