Inni: The quality of teams in the Europa and Conference Leagues this season is absolutely awful. These are the semi finalists? One of Man Utd and Spurs are going to be in the Champions League next season, and one of Villa, Forest, Chelsea and Newcastle aren't...laughable

  3. 'Outstanding performance from Tottenham'published at 22:16 British Summer Time 8 May

    FT: Bodo/Glimt 0-2 Tottenham (agg 1-5)

    Paul Robinson
Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at Aspmyra Stadion

That's an outstanding performance from Tottenham. Organised, structured, defensively sound.

Not pretty, not a great watch but effective.

Tottenham have come here and done a number on them. They've kept a clean sheet and been excellent.

  4. 'United showed their quality'published at 22:14 British Summer Time 8 May

FT: Man Utd 4-1 Athletic Bilbao (agg 7-1)

    Izzy Christiansen
Former England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

The Manchester United players showed their quality. They withstood a bit of pressure in the first half and the start of that second half and they have got an exciting final ahead against Tottenham.

  5. 'Three subs made an incredible impact'published at 22:13 British Summer Time 8 May

FT: Man Utd 4-1 Athletic Bilbao (agg 7-1)

    Phil Jones
Former Manchester United defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra

Before the game we spoke about Manchester United needing to suffer in certain moments, and they did, especially in the second half when Athletic were really aggressive and they pressed.

However United will always get chances at Old Trafford, especially when there are more spaces to exploit in behind.

The three subs made an incredible impact, and Mason Mount and Amad Diallo were terrific.

Good for you Mason Mount. Good. For. You.

    Graham

That was brilliant. For all the pain this Man United team have caused us this season, there have been some unbelievable moments and unreal performances. Mason Mount take a bow, man of the match in 30 mins.

FT: Chelsea 1-0 Djurgarden (agg 5-1)

    Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall speaking to TNT Sports: "Amazing to be in the final. We set our sights at the start of the season to get as far as we can in this tournament and it has been a long couple of months but one more game to go and and hopefully we can lift that trophy."

On his goal: "They play with a low block but thankfully I saw a bit of space, Tyrique [George] played me through with a lovely ball, I showed a little bit of composure and it was nice to get the goal."

On what it would mean to him to win a European trophy: "It would mean everything. A lot of people would have said we should this at the start of the season but I think if we do, we deserve a lot of credit. I know what football is like, it's not easy. If we do win it, which I hope we can, the players and staff deserve a lot of credit. We have had pressure from the first match day, we have been professional and dedicated and now we have one more game."

On five academy players being on the pitch today and the role he plays in helping them: "I'm just here to try and guide the young players. Reggie Yates is 16 and he was fantastic, composed. My job is just to tell them to play the game that got them there. You saw that with the players that played, very composed, very calm. That's a credit to the academy."

Manchester United's Mason Mount, who scored twice, speaking to TNT Sports: "It was too long [waiting for a night like that]. I carried on going, working hard in training every day and tried to stay positive and when I had an opportunity to try to make an impact.

"Today it paid off and I came on and affected the game. It was a tight game when I came on, I just tried to calm it down."

On his second goal: "When I saw him [the goalkeeper] come out I had it in my head if it comes to me, 'first touch and shoot'. I didn't want it to come on my left foot and then I was just trying to get it on target, same with the first goal, create the turn and try to get it in the net.

"The crowd has been unbelievable, they have stuck with us. For me, these were my first goals at Old Trafford, a night I've been waiting a long time for. To go back to Bilbao is a special moment and we want to finish strongly."
