It is surely only a matter of time until Manchester City get a third now with Ipswich starting to tire.

It's 20 minutes on the clock and this game has been end-to-end so far.

    Off the line!

Mary Fowler delivers another corner from the left and again it's Rebecca Knaak who gets her head on it.

This time the big defender's head is on target but it's hacked off the line. No debut goal yet for Knaak but she is proving to be a handful at set pieces.

Manchester City almost have a third as Chloe Kelly hammers a shot just over the bar.

However, there was a bit too much on the pass and Fowler couldn't get on the end of it.

Jill Roord turns provider with some lovely footwork down the left before putting in a low cross.

Coombs meets it with a flick that comes back off the bar but is there to tap the rebound into an empty net.

Coombs was also on target in City's 10-0 win over Ipswich in this competition back in 2020.

Bees goalkeeper Tia Ginn comes to the rescue of her side.

  12. Postpublished at 14:11 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January

    Man City 1-0 Ipswich

The game has already fallen into a very similar pattern to the first half with Manchester City dominating possession and Ipswich content to sit deep.

If it stays at just 1-0 then you'd have to think the visitors will try to push forward a bit more as the game goes on.

For now, though, they're happy to keep it as it is and remain in the game for as long as possible.

  13. CLOSE!published at 14:10 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January

    London Bees 0-0 Rugby Borough

Bees are the ones who create the first chance of the game.

Hailey Hoare steals the ball from Rugby goalkeeper Nyla Peterkin with barely two minutes on the clock, but her effort is saved Peterkin before the second is cleared off the line.

It's a bright start from the home side.

  14. Postpublished at 14:07 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January

London Bees' best season to date came in 2016 when they reached the semi-finals of the Women's League Cup, knocking out Chelsea on the way.

After beating Watford 2-0 in the preliminary round, they were drawn at home against Chelsea, who had won the FA Cup and the league title in the previous season.

Deanna Cooper scored in extra time to level the game at 3-3 and take the first-round tie to a penalty shootout.

Karen Carney and Ji So-Yun missed penalties for the Blues before Merrick Will slotted home the all-important kick to send the then second-tier Bees through.

They then beat Sheffield 2-0 before their run ended in the hands of Birmingham City in the semis.

  20. 'We deserve to be here'published at 13:58 Greenwich Mean Time 12 January

Cheltenham Town v Wolves (14:00 GMT)

Wolves are second in National League North and have lost just once this term, and in the previous round they beat Shrewsbury Town 14-0.

Cheltenham are ninth in National League South and might have their work cut out at Kayte Lane, but the Robinesses have never made it this far in this competition.

Cheltenham skipper Emily Owen used to play for Wolves and is from Wolverhampton itself, and she told BBC Radio Gloucestershire, "The effort and the hard work that the girls have put in so far to get to where we are, we deserve to be there so hopefully we can out in a good performance."
