  1. goal

GOAL St Mirren 0-1 Celticpublished at 27 mins

    Jeffrey Schlupp

You could argue that's came against the run of play, but, what a sweet finish from Schlupp.

The ball is worked out to the left and the full-back lets loose with a lovely left-footed finish across the box and in-off the post.

    His first for Celtic.

  4. 'Ball in behind killing Celtic'published at 17:58 Greenwich Mean Time

    St Mirren 0-0 Celtic

    Pat Bonner
Former Celtic goalkeeper on BBC Sportsound

The difference with the Aberdeen game is that Celtic weren't very good on the ball, they were giving it away.

They've actually been good on it today, but what's killing them is the ball in behind and that's three or four really good chances St Mirren have had.

St Mirren are having some joy exploiting this Celtic high-line.

    Kasper Schmeichel called upon again.

Star-like, Kasper Schmeichel (just like his Dad Peter used to do for Man Utd) spreads himself wide to thwart Toyosi OIusanya.

How many times have we seen that from the big Dane? Plenty.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 18 mins

    St Mirren 0-0 Celtic

    What a block, Kasper Schmeichel.

Toyosi Olusanya should have the Saints one goal up.

He beats Auston Trusty in a foot race and only has the Celtic 'keeper to beat.

He opts to lift it, right into the Dane's body, when really he should just pick a side.

    Big chance.

    Stephen McGinn
Former Dundee midfielder on BBC Sportsound

I think the pitch, as an underdog, helps them [St Mirren] today. They're having to work really hard, Celtic have been so slick.

I think that's why Stephen Robinson is frustrated, he has to knock them out their rhythm.

The finish was woeful from Reo Hatate, as the ball took a big bobble before it arrived at his right boot inside the area.

    However, his manager applauded nonetheless.

I suspect that was more for the run and delivery from Adam Idah...

Reo Hatate finds himself in a decent spot in the box, and the ball comes to him, but, he sends it high into the sky.

After that mention of hemming in, it reminded me of this Zach Hemming arrival pic earlier in the day.

I see a pack of Squashies in there, while I'm curious as to what's in the birthday bag.

There's a nice energy about St Mirren right from kick-off, trying to hem Celtic deep in their own half.

The home side fancy their chances here of a big double, having won at Ibrox last weekend...

Brendan Rodgers said there there's still "a long way to go".

Given the result at Ibrox earlier, should Celtic win their next three games, including this one, they'll travel to St Johnstone on 6 April, able to retain their crown in Perth.

That's the penultimate game before the split...

After their historic win at Ibrox last weekend, I asked the St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson what chance of another famous win this evening against the other half of Glasgow's big two.

'Why not?' was his reply. Reasoning that Hibs managed it seven days ago.

The Buddies' problem? They've not even scored a goal against Celtic in the champions' last three visits to Paisley.

The time before that, they did score. And lost 5-1.

  20. 'No need to risk Jota' - Rodgerspublished at 17:25 Greenwich Mean Time

    St Mirren v Celtic (17:30)

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers tells BBC Scotland: "We can't look to far ahead.

"Jota has played a lot of football recently, when he hadn't played a lot over a long period of time.

"Him coming back was going to be a course of building him up and there's no need to risk an injury to him when we've got so many games to play."
