Preston manager Paul Heckingbottom to Sky Sports: "The players gave everything without the ball. Norwich can be so creative but we only had one shot to save. With the ball we were great too, we should have had more goals. It was a fantastic performance.

"We have played well this season without winning games but we need to improve on turning good moments into chances. It should have been more comfortable."

Man of the match Mads Frokjaer told Sky Sports: "They commit so many players we knew if we could nick the ball we'd have loads of space up front.

"We did well, we could have scored more. We want three points and they didn't have a big chance, happy days and now a long journey home."

  5. Turning a cornerpublished at 22:18 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

    FT: Coventry 1-0 QPR

Bobby Thomas heads in the match-winning goal for Coventry City against QPRImage source, PA Media

Coventry and QPR were heading towards a draw having had nine corners apiece.

And ultimately it was the 19th of the match in the fifth minute of added time, that settled the game for the hosts.

Bobby Thomas rising highest to claim all three points for the Sky Blues.

After a minor blip of two successive defeats in all competitions, they're back to winning ways under Frank Lampard and up to eighth in the Championship table.

  6. 'The first goal was important'published at 22:16 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

    FT: Norwich 0-1 Preston

Preston captain Ryan Ledson on Sky Sports: "We knew the first goal was important and then we could sit in our shape and hit them on the counter.

"We worked on our gameplan to keep them quiet and every one to a man was top drawer.

"We spoke at Christmas time that our away form wasn't good but we are getting used to the gaffer now and we want to keep going."

    Top 10 of Championship

Leeds' 4-0 win at Watford stretched their lead over second-placed Sheffield United to five points.

The Blades, who host play-off chasing Middlesbrough tomorrow, and third-placed Burnley, who welcome lowly Hull City, look to have a huge job on their hands trying to reign the Whites in.

Coventry's late win at home to QPR boosted their top six aspirations, while Norwich's home defeat by Preston dented their play-off hopes.

  8. Rams climb out of drop zone with drawpublished at 22:08 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

The bottom 10 teams in the Championship table

Derby's goalless draw with Oxford United at Pride Park has lifted them out of the relegation zone on goals scored.

Hull City and Luton Town could both overtake the Rams with wins tomorrow, though they face tough tasks against promotion-chasing Burnley and Sunderland, respectively.

Portsmouth's win at home to Cardiff City enables John Mousinho's side to move four points clear of the bottom three.

Ince for that fourth goal has to take a serious look at himself there. That’s unacceptable. For all Leeds' great players the individual errors from Watford have been embarrassing.

I’m just reminded of that scene in Happy Gilmour where he gets the hole in one, Leeds after winning the Cardiff match 7-0 “oh man that was so much easier, we should just do that every time”

The Whites have now won their past three games by scores of 7-0, 2-0 and 4-0.

    The stuff of champions.

It is the perfect away performance.

They created more chances, they stifled Norwich.

They deserve it for the effort put in, superb job all round.

I have a standing joke with a friend of mine who supports Preston that every week they are 14th, no matter what their result.

I've just looked and they are actually 15th as it stands. Norwich will end the night in ninth if it stays like this.

  15. Rams far from rampantpublished at 21:57 Greenwich Mean Time 11 February

    FT: Derby 0-0 Oxford

    Derby xG

Tonight's 0-0 draw with Oxford did at least move Derby out of the Championship relegation zone, albeit only on goals scored.

However, they have now gone nine league games without a win and haven't so much as scored in their past five in front of their own fans.

They had the better of things tonight but, as the above graphic suggests, struggled to create a clear-cut chance.

It's understood Blackburn boss John Eustace will take over in the coming days and boy, does he have work to do.
