A reminder that Alfie May has hit a bit of a mini-drought. He's without a goal in eight league games… and hasn’t scored in his past 11 in all competitions.

How he'd love one tonight, especially with Jay Stansfield back among the subs and awaiting his chance to be reintroduced.

  2. CLOSE!published at 20:04 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Bradford 0-0 Cheltenham

Jamie Walker again with a chance for Bradford.

He picks up Michael Mellon's backheel in the box but shoots just over the bar.

Cheltenham really struggling to get in the game so far.

    Bolton 0-0 Birmingham

Former Bolton and Barnsley boss on BBC Radio Manchester

Alfie May is always on the move, always making runs.

  4. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Huddersfield 0-0 Wrexham

Almost an opener for the Terriers!

Tawanda Chirewa flicks on a ball into the box for Huddersfield and it comes to Josh Koroma inside the six-yard box, who pokes the ball past Wrexham keeper Arthur Okonkwo and into the back of the net.

But Koroma is adjudged to have strayed marginally offside. A very close call but he's probably just off.

  5. KICK-OFFpublished at 20:01 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Wycombe 0-0 Burton

We are underway at Adams Park under the lights.

Can Wycombe bounce back from their weekend defeat, or can Burton find their way to safety?

Two early goals in the game between Lincoln and Crawley who are currently drawing 1-1, courtesy of goals from Kami Doyle and James Collins.

Elsewhere, Macaulay Gillesphey has given in form Charlton the lead at home to Barnsley.

We are goalless in the other fixtures so far.

  7. Deja vu at Brunton Parkpublished at 19:59 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Carlisle 0-1 Walsall

    Adam Lanigan
BBC Sport reporter at Brunton Park

Any pre-match optimism from that win at Barrow has been punctured by the early Walsall goal.

It's a familiar feeling at Brunton Park for these supporters where they have suffered so many bad results in the past two seasons.

And news is filtering through that Tranmere are winning at Grimsby. As things stand, that puts Carlisle six points adrift of safety.

  8. GREAT SAVE!published at 19:59 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Bolton 0-0 Birmingham

A great bit of play down the left by Bolton's Jordi Osei-Tutu who gets into the box and drills a low shot on target but Bailey Peacock-Farrell, who is in goal for Birmingham tonight in place of the injured Ryan Allsop, gets down well to save.

  9. Postpublished at 19:57 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Shrewsbury 0-0 Bristol Rovers

A fairly cagey affair between these two relegation battlers so far. No shots for either just yet.

  10. Postpublished at 19:56 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Huddersfield 0-0 Wrexham

West Ham loanee and top goalscorer for Huddersfield Callum Marshall meets a cross from the left but his headed effort at the near post doesn't find the target.

    Emil HanssonImage source, Rex Features

Emil Hansson is unmarked in the box for Birmingham and gets on the end of a free-kick from the right but he can't connect with it properly and skies it high into the air.

  12. goal

GOAL: Carlisle 0-1 Walsallpublished at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Taylor Allen (7 mins)

Bottom versus top and the leaders have the early breakthrough.

A corner is only half cleared to the edge of the box where it's helped back in by Ryan Stirk and Taylor Allen finishes with real aplomb at the back post.

    A real striker's finish from the centre-half.

  13. Postpublished at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Bradford 0-0 Cheltenham

The home side quickly out of the blocks and create a few early moments.

Michael Mellon with a strong run towards the penalty area that's stopped by Ibrahim Bakare's challenge for Cheltenham.

Then Brandon Khela with a shot block and finally a curling shot from Jamie Walker just past the left-hand post.

  14. Postpublished at 19:52 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Bolton 0-0 Birmingham

A boost for Birmingham tonight - top goalscorer Jay Stansfield is back among the subs after recovering from an injury he picked up in the EFL Trophy semi-final win over Bradford two weeks ago.

  15. Postpublished at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Bolton 0-0 Birmingham

League One leaders Birmingham are looking to settle into an early rhythm, seeing plenty of the ball in the opening stages - most of it in their own half so far, though.

  16. Postpublished at 19:49 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Huddersfield 0-0 Wrexham

Huddersfield win an early free-kick in a promising position on the right but it's hit straight at Wrexham keeper Arthur Okonkwo.

  17. Postpublished at 19:47 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Huddersfield 0-0 Wrexham

Huddersfield have failed to score in each of their past five home league games.

They have only gone longer without a home goal twice in their history before - in March 1972 (6) and October 2018 (7).

Can they end that record against promotion rivals Wrexham this evening?

  19. The M6 derby(ish)?!published at 19:44 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Carlisle 0-0 Walsall

    Adam Lanigan
BBC Sport reporter at Brunton Park

For those of who you know Britain's motorway network, the journey from the West Midlands to the extreme north west is long and boring, but pretty simple!

M6 all the way, and Walsall and Carlisle are only separated by a mere 33 junctions! Is that enough to make it the M6 derby?!

  20. Top and bottom collide in Cumbriapublished at 19:42 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Carlisle v Walsall (19:45 GMT)

    Brunton ParkImage source, BBC Sport

Bottom meets top here in Cumbria as Mark Hughes' Carlisle look to build on their win at Barrow on Thursday.

Win and results go their way and they could be out of the relegation zone by the end of the night.

But they have not won successive league games since March 2023 and their home record is pitiful with only two wins all season and just 11 home goals.

However, for leaders Walsall, Saddlers fans do not reminding that their team have hit the skids.

12 points clear on 11 January, the lead has been whittled down to four by Bradford.

They still have a nine-point cushion in the automatic spots, but a run of two wins from nine has transformed a cruise towards League One into a real dogfight.
