  1. Will Birmingham finally feel the blues at Bolton?published at 19:40 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

Bolton Wanderers face the tricky task of doing something not many have managed in League One this season and that is beat Birmingham City.

Blues have in fact lost just twice all season and are unbeaten in 18 games (W14 D4) since their surprise 3-2 defeat at Shrewsbury on 23 November.

Chris Davies' side are 12 points clear at the top with a game in hand and look to be running away with the title, but Bolton are embroiled in a much tighter battle - the one for a play-off spot.

The Trotters are seventh, just two points behind Charlton in sixth, and have won six of their past eight (D1 L1).

You get the feeling the race for the play-offs will go right to the wire but victory for Steven Schumacher's team tonight would be a real statement.

  2. Will Terriers or Red Dragons growl louder?published at 19:38 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Huddersfield v Wrexham (19:45 GMT)

Huddersfield Town and Wrexham both harbour the same ambitions this season - to win promotion to the Championship.

The Terriers recovered from a mini-blip of two straight defeats with a with a 2-1 victory at Stevenage last time out.

It was just the fourth win Michael Duff's side have picked up in their previous 13 games (D4 L5), and he will know only too well that Huddersfield need more consistency to challenge for the top two or at least retain a play-off spot.

The Red Dragons have won four of their past five (L1) and are just two points behind Wycombe in second, knowing victory tonight could see them move above the Chairboys should they falter against Burton.

A vital clash between two of the division's top sides.

  3. Wycombe look to bounce backpublished at 19:36 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

Wycombe Wanderers now trail the league leaders Birmingham City by 12 points after their 1-0 loss at St Andrew's on Saturday.

The home side will be without midfielder Xavier Simons who was sent off in that game.

With only the one league win in February for Mike Dodds' side, they'll look to secure the points tonight against Burton.

The Brewers are 21st in the table but are unbeaten in their past three matches and only one loss in their last six.

When these two sides played each other back in October, the Chairboys won 3-2 courtesy of a Ryan Sweeney own goal.

We’re hoping for a similar game this evening.

  4. Salop running out of gas?published at 19:34 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

Shrewsbury v Bristol Rovers (19:45 GMT)

A run of four straight defeats has seen Shrewsbury Town slip to the bottom of the League One table, eight points adrift of safety.

They welcome Bristol Rovers who have relegation fears of their own having suffered three defeats on the bounce and the Gas sit just two points above the drop zone in 20th.

Salop boss Gareth Ainsworth insists his side can stay up and said: "I look at the fixtures and still think we can do this."

At least one of these two teams will pick up a point - or three - for the first time in a while tonight and a win would be huge for either as we approach the final straight.

With Birmingham City 12 points clear at the the top of League One with a game in hand and seemingly breezing their way to the title, the focus will very much be on the battle for the second automatic promotion spot and the play-offs places.

Wycombe are just two points ahead of Wrexham in third, while only four points separate Charlton in sixth from Barnsley in 10th.

At the other end, Burton Albion are just two points adrift of safety and the four teams above them are within striking distance.

The bottom three also still have a lot of work to do to escape danger.

  6. Can Bantams keep run going?published at 19:29 Greenwich Mean Time 4 March

    Bradford v Cheltenham (19:45 GMT)

Bradford fans are surely believing more than ever now that this is their year.

They’ve reeled off five wins from their past six and could move to within a point of Walsall at the top of the table tonight.

Everything seems to be running for them at the moment after a 94th minute winner at Salford on Saturday.

Cheltenham visit Valley Parade this evening still with outside hopes of a play-off push.

Nine points adrift of the top seven, there’s little room for error from here but they’ve only lost once in the league since the new year and are unbeaten in four.

Bradford City have slowly but surely been closing in on Walsall's previously huge advantage at the top of League Two.

What was once a 12-point gap has now been reduced to just four and be cut to just one point if the Bantams beat Cheltenham and the Saddlers lose at bottom side Carlisle.

Notts County could move above Doncaster in the automatic promotion spots if they win against Barrow and Rovers lose at Bromley.

In the scrap to avoid the drop, Tranmere will drop into the bottom two if they suffer defeat at Grimsby and Morecambe can pick up three points against promotion-chasing AFC Wimbledon.
