Dylan Easton's penalty was the difference between the sides in Kirkcaldy

Dylan Easton's first-half penalty earned managerless Raith Rovers a narrow Scottish Championship win over Partick Thistle.

Following the shock sacking of Ian Murray last weekend after defeat to Airdrieonians in their league opener, Rovers rallied to edge out Thistle at Stark's Park.

Lewis Gibson was fouled in the box by Wasiri Williams in opening period, allowing Easton to dispatch from the spot and secure interim boss John Potter victory.

Thistle pushed for a leveller, but they were reduced to 10 men for the final 14 minutes after Scott Robinson's red card.

Kris Doolan's side are goalless in their opening two league matches following last Saturday's 0-0 draw with Greenock Morton.
