The 20-year-old came through the United academy and made his senior debut back in 2022.

He scored three goals in 12 League 1 appearances when on loan at Montrose last season and went on to set up two goals on his return to Tannadice as Jim Goodwin's side secured promotion to the top flight.

He has one goal in 14 Premiership appearances this term.

Partick Thistle have confirmed the signing of Hamilton Accies captain Scott Martin on an 18-month contract, with the option of a 12-month extension.

As part of the deal, Scott Robinson joins Accies on a permanent basis.

Having come through the youth set up at Hibs, Martin was a team-mate of Thistle skipper Brian Graham at Easter Road back in 2016-17 when the Hibees won the Scottish Championship.

"Scott has always impressed me in the games he has played against Partick Thistle with his whole-hearted approach to things," manager Kris Doolan told the club's website.

“His energy and willingness to win the ball are great attributes and the fact that he was the captain at Hamilton Accies shows you the type of character he is.”

  15. Scottish football 'not a shock to system for Alebiosupublished at 21:14 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

"Electric" Ryan Alebiosu will strengthen the St Mirren squad, says Stephen Robinson.

The manager stressed the importance a defender with Scottish top-flight experience and confirmed the deal will allow youngster Callum Penman to go out on loan "to gain valuable experience for next season."

"It’s important that we got someone in at the right side of the pitch," Robinson told club media.

"He has experienced the league before - it was important to get someone who knows it.

"It can be a shock to people’s system sometimes and it can surprise people, but Ryan has experienced it before with Kilmarnock.

“We tried to get him previously when he was at Arsenal. It’s a chance for him to put himself in the shop window and for us to benefit from a different type of right-sided player in certain games.

"He’s got electric pace and an end product in terms of crosses.

"It’s a move that strengthens the squad and allows us to hopefully put young Callum Penman out on loan to gain valuable experience for next season."
