  1. Rangers making move for Lovelace workpublished at 20:48 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

    BBC Sport Scotland

After kicking off this deadline day with the announcement of Lyall Cameron on a pre-contract, we understand that the club - despite working on several options - feel they are unable to bring in anyone who would benefit the club.

BBC Scotland also understands that Rangers received several offers for players who they didn't want to lose, and so those offers were rejected.

On Zak Lovelace, it's our understanding that the club wanted to keep him, but the player wanted to return to London, and they're making the move work on terms favourable to them.

  4. Spiders sign Crystal Palace youngster on loanpublished at 20:39 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

Queen's Park have signed attacking midfielder Jadan Raymond from Premier League side Crystal Palace on loan until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old joined the Eagles' Academy in July 2020 and has also been capped twice for Wales' Under-21s.

Head coach Callum Davidson said he has "lots of potential".

"He has a good physical presence and can play in midfield or behind the strikers," Davidson told club media. "It’s an area of our squad that I’ve been looking to strengthen."

  6. Cameron's career so farpublished at 20:33 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

Almost six years on from his Dundee debut, it has been announced that midfielder Lyall Cameron will leave his boyhood club in the summer for fellow Premiership side Rangers.

After making his first outing in dark blue back in 2019 against Raith Rovers, Cameron had to bide his time to become a first-team regular, spending two loan spells with Peterhead and one with Montrose.

Those experiences helped him establish himself at Dens Park as Dundee won the Championship title in 2022-23, a title they may not have won were it not for Cameron's second-half strike in a winner-takes-all match against Queen's Park.

He has continued to shine in the top flight. Dundee earned a top-six finish under Tony Docherty last season, and since Luke McCowan's exit for Celtic in the summer, Cameron has stepped up to fill the void left by his fellow midfielder, netting eight goals in 30 appearances so far this term.

Don't bet against the 22-year-old continuing his upward trajectory when he joins Philippe Clement's side.

  9. Porteous heads on loan to Prestonpublished at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

Scotland international Ryan Porteous has joined Championship rivals Preston North End on loan until the end of the season from Watford.

The 25-year-old had made 25 appearances in all competitions for the Hornets this campaign.

He links up again with North End manager Paul Heckingbottom, who he played under at Hibs.

The boyhood Hibee left Easter Road for Watford in January 2023.

"He's an international defender with experience of playing regularly in the Championship, so he'll be a good addition for us between now and the end of the season," Heckingbottom told the club website., external

  13. Celtic to sign a Premier League winner?published at 20:09 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

Sky Sports are currently reporting that Crystal Palace winger Jeffrey Schlupp could join Celtic tonight.

The 32-year-old is out of contract with the Eagles in the summer and the two clubs are reportedly negotiating how much of Schlupp's wage the Scottish Premiership side will cover.

The former Ghana international has not started a Premier League match all season but has made 12 appearances from the bench.

Our pals at Press Association are also saying there are no plans for any immediate incomings at Ibrox.

They understand Rangers were working on several potential deals, but none could be finalised on favourable terms and on-loan Lille defender Fabrice Fernandes is set to be their only winter window signing.

Malachi Boateng could be leaving Tynecastle

Malachi Boateng could be on his way out of Tynecastle on deadline day. The midfielder only joined the Hearts in the summer when he signed on from Crystal Palace for an undisclosed fee.

Boateng, 22, spent last season on loan at Dundee from Palace, and is now wanted by the English Championship's bottom side Plymouth Argyle.

Plymouth are now managed by Muron Muslic who earlier this season was coach at the Belgian side Cercle Brugge.

Hearts faced the Belgian side in the Conference League back in November when Muslic was still in charge.

  18. Will Youan stay or will he go?published at 19:55 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Scotland

Elie Youan will be staying at Hibernian after talks with Stoke City and Blackburn Rovers broke down.

The winger was expected to leave the club in this transfer window - Hibernian would not have stood in his way - but no deal could be agreed with either Championship club.

Youan was at HTC this morning and trained with the rest of the squad ahead of Friday night's Scottish Cup tie at Ayr United.

However, both Harry McKirdy and Luke Amos are expected to leave before the window shuts.

  19. It's not Miller timepublished at 19:52 Greenwich Mean Time 3 February

Motherwell seem determined to hold onto prized asset Lennon Miller. And who can blame them.

I'm told Celtic made an enquiry - not a bid - but were told the Fir Park club didn't want to sell him in this window.

Very good news for Motherwell fans, I would suggest...
