Summary

  1. 'We need to win' - Leveinpublished at 14:51 British Summer Time 11 May

    Livingston v St Johnstone (15:00)

St Johnstone manager Craig Levein tells BBC Scotland: "It’s a big game for us. We’ve been talking about it all week. We’ve been training fairly well, yesterday was very good. That gives me extra hope.

"It’s been frustrating watching (Drey Wright and Cammy MacPherson) coming back, taking longer than I was hoping. But they’re back to help in these last three matches. They are experienced players that know what they are doing.

"We need to win. We’ve been playing with three centre-backs most of the time, but we have changed that. Andy (Considine) misses out only because we changed the system."

  2. 'Great day for Celtic'published at 14:50 British Summer Time 11 May

    FT: Celtic 2-1 Rangers

    Sky Sports

Two of Celtic's key players have been reflecting on a huge result on Sky Sports.

Matt O'Riley: "We're six points clear. We started the game well and had a few chances. I practiced penalties yesterday and I was probably in two minds about it."

James Forrest: "A great day... Even when Rangers had 11 men I thought we were really dominant. When they went down to 10, we just didn't take our chances."

  4. St Mirren unchanged as Deas starts for Kilmarnockpublished at 14:47 British Summer Time 11 May

    St Mirren v Kilmarnock (15:00)

St Mirren ended a poor recent run with victory at Dens Park last weekend and Stephen Robinson sees no need to tinker with a winning formula, naming an unchanged starting XI.

Elvis Bwomono returns to the bench having overcome a knee complaint as the home side chase the victory which would preserve their hopes of usurping Kilmarnock in fourth place.

The visitors, who have not lost to St Mirren since early 2021, make a solitary change from the loss at Ibrox six days ago.

Joe Wright is serving a suspension having been sent off in that match, so Robbie Deas is brought in to start.

Derek McInnes also fields recently anointed PFA Scotland young player of the year David Watson, with Liam Polworth dropping to the bench.

  5. Ross County and Motherwell both unchangedpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 11 May

Ayo Obileye - who was doubtful after picking up a toe injury - and Daniel MacKay drop to the bench, whilst Jason Holt misses out entirely.

Adama Sidibeh and Stevie May return up top for St Johnstone following last Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Pittodrie, whilst David Keltjens and Cammy MacPherson also come into the Saints' starting XI.

Andy Considine, Matthew Smith, Connor Smith and Benjamin Mbunga Kimpioka all drop to the bench. Joining the benched quartet on the substitute's list is Diallang Jaiyesimi, who has been out of action for two months.

  7. 'Rangers need overhaul'published at 14:45 British Summer Time 11 May

    Michael Stewart
Former Scotland international on BBC Sportsound

The only bit of solace for Rangers is they have a good manager there.

In terms of the playing squad, they need an overhaul.

For Celtic, it's a big win because of the journey they've been on this season.

They also need to go big if they want any chance of making an impact on Europe.

I know it's not easy, but they've got money in the bank.

The hosts have nine of ten fingers on the trophy after going six points clear with six to play for.

The champions had so many chances to stretch their lead in the second half, including a missed penalty, and it got a bit twitchy at the end as 10-man Rangers chucked men forward.
