    Kilmarnock 0-0 Dundee

Another Dundee chance! Simon Murray is in the box, skips onto his right and blasts, but Killie goalkeeper Robby McCrorie makes another good save.

It's been a fine start from Dundee, but they need to capitalise on the early dominance.

Sam Dalby is in one-on-one with the goalkeeper after a simple lob over the top.

It's the Dundee fans making the most noise in the opening few moments and they'll be pleased with the start their side have made.

The drum is beating. Will it be enough to spur on Tony Docherty's side for all three points?

    Dundee United 0-0 St Mirren

Ryan Strain is in sharply on Greg Kiltie out wide as he tries to spin in behind, with the visitors starting the brighter of the two sides.

Every time St MIrren have the ball, they seem to get it into the final third.

Nothing to show for it yet, mind you.

The first chance at Rugby Park falls to the visitors.

Josh Mulligan battles down the right and cuts back to Jordan McGhee, who fires at goal, but it's a brilliant save from Kilmarnock goalkeeper Robby McCrorie to deny him.

The resultant corner comes in, it's headed away, clipped back in and Seb Palmer-Houlden nods just over.

Brave stuff from County to knock the ball about in defence.

    Celtic v Ross County (15:00)

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Scotland at Celtic Park

No Scottish side has managed it since Hearts at Tynecastle in early March.

No Scottish side has managed it at Celtic Park since the capital club last December, resulting in poor old Santa getting booed.

Teams like Atalanta, RB Leipzig and Club Brugge couldn't manage it in the Champions League.

So how do Ross County beat Celtic? It's the puzzler visiting boss Don Cowie will be putting to his charges. As he reminded me pre-match: every game starts at 0-0, so why not?

    Motherwell v Hibernian (15:00)

    Brian McLauchlin
BBC Sport Scotland at Fir Park

The incentive today for Hibs is surely to earn at least a point that would take them off the bottom of the table.

The large travelling support making their way along the M8 would take that ahead of a busy spell coming up.

However, it's only one away win in the league this year, so that is one record they will want to put right.

A home win for the Steelmen would take them 13 points clear of Hibs opponents and just the one behind Rangers and, even at this early stage of the campaign, would be a major achievement.

  20. Pre-Christmas cracker?published at 14:55 Greenwich Mean Time 30 November 2024

    Kilmarnock v Dundee (15:00)

    Gully Singh
BBC Sport Scotland at Rugby Park

If the DJ is anything to go by, we're in for another cracker here at Rugby Park.

A busy period, as mentioned by Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes, in the run-up to the festive period is marked by Mariah Carey blaring through the speakers.

A flurry of goals such as the five scored on the last two meetings between the sides would suit the neutral just fine!
