Michelle Agyemang is coming into this game more as she think she's about to put Brighton in front but Anna Patten gets her body brilliantly in the way.

  2. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 12:17 British Summer Time 7 September

    Brighton 0-0 Aston Villa

It's good work from Brighton as they push high on the right before the ball is whipped into the area. Frank Kirby ends up poking the ball into the net but she's a good few yards offside.

    Liverpool 1-0 Everton

Actually I think Courtney Brosnan may just have got a fingertip to that.

If she did that's a sensational save.

  4. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 12:16 British Summer Time 7 September

Ah so close to a second for Liverpool!

Centre half Gemma Bonner steals around the back post unmarked at a set piece and crashes a volley off the bar before Everton hurriedly clear.

As expected, Manchester United are dominating at Leigh.

Ella Toone just strode through the Leicester defence but was unable to beat goalkeeper Janina Leitzig as she advanced.

Melvine Malard is taking up a very wide starting position on the United right but she cuts inside quite quickly, which is what she did to allow Toone to stride through.

That was some finish from Cornelia Kapocs in the Kop end and it's Liverpool first goal at Anfield against Everton in the WSL.

It all came from that flicked ball from Marie Hobinger and Kapocs did the rest. You have to say, Liverpool have been by far the better team.

    Liverpool 1-0 Everton

Well we spoke about the need for Marie Hobinger to step up for Liverpool after the departure of Olivia Smith and she's done just that.

After being the Reds' top assist maker last term she's got their first for Cornelia Kapocs on matchday one.

Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live at Anfield

Cornelia Kapocs struck that with some real authority. She found a pocket of space and she rifled it past Courtney Brosnan

She shouldn't have been left with that much space but what a finish. She's been questioned for her consistency before but what a start.

It's been an encouraging start for Liverpool and they are getting joy down the right-hand side through Ceri Holland.

Fans behind us in the Main Stand were shouting for her to go at Maz Pacheco and she did, putting in a dangerous cross.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 12:11 British Summer Time 7 September

    Man Utd 0-0 Leicester

Ella Toone must be wondering how she's not put United in front here.

Melvine Malard beautifully slips in Toone to the left of the box. Toone looks to slip it under Janina Leitzig but the Leicester keeper saves well.

    Tottenham 0-0 West Ham

It's just not fully clicking for Spurs yet, despite their dominance of the ball.

Best chance of the game so far as Liverpool winger Ceri Holland drops a shoulder to get past Maz Pacheco and fizzes a wicked ball through the six yard box.

The only thing missing there was a finishing touch.
