As expected, Manchester United are dominating at Leigh.

Ella Toone just strode through the Leicester defence but was unable to beat goalkeeper Janina Leitzig as she advanced.

Melvine Malard is taking up a very wide starting position on the United right but she cuts inside quite quickly, which is what she did to allow Toone to stride through.

First sight of goal for Michelle Agyemang on the edge of the box and you can feel the excitement in the stadium rise.

Agyemang finds Rachel McLauchlan before she works space for a shot but Sabrina D'Angelo keeps it out.

That was some finish from Cornelia Kapocs in the Kop end and it's Liverpool first goal at Anfield against Everton in the WSL.

It all came from that flicked ball from Marie Hobinger and Kapocs did the rest. You have to say, Liverpool have been by far the better team.

Well we spoke about the need for Marie Hobinger to step up for Liverpool after the departure of Olivia Smith and she's done just that.

After being the Reds' top assist maker last term she's got their first for Cornelia Kapocs on matchday one.

Ceri Holland is having a field day down the right wing in these opening minutes.

She dances past Maz Pacheco again and gets a cross into the middle that is eventually cleared by Martina Fernandez.

Ella Toone must be wondering how she's not put United in front here.

Melvine Malard beautifully slips in Toone to the left of the box. Toone looks to slip it under Janina Leitzig but the Leicester keeper saves well.

It's just not fully clicking for Spurs yet, despite their dominance of the ball.

Beth England looks to chest a ball down in the box but it runs away from her. Then Olivia Holdt takes aim from distance but fires it wide of the bottom left corner of Kinga Szemik's goal.

Kirsty Hanson wins the ball off Moeka Minami on the half way line before driving towards goal. She runs out of steam slightly and has a go from a tight angle and forces Chiamaka Nnadozie into a save.

Best chance of the game so far as Liverpool winger Ceri Holland drops a shoulder to get past Maz Pacheco and fizzes a wicked ball through the six yard box.

The only thing missing there was a finishing touch.

United boss Marc Skinner has decided it's time to zip his coat up. You'd expect better weather for the first weekend of the season!
