    FT: Hearts 0-0 Rangers

    Steven NaismithImage source, SNS

Hearts manager Steven Naismith tells BBC Scotland: "It was an entertaining game for being 0-0.

"The headlines will all be Rangers have dropped points. I get that but I think a lot of that was down to us.

"We probably had the better of possession and I thought we controlled the first half. We had some good chances and we never took them.

"I thought there was a lot to like for us, there was a lot to like about our performance.

"I thought the new players who started did well, the guys off the bench did the same.

"I'm slightly disappointed we didn't get the goal we deserved but there was a lot to like about us.

"Everybody is still getting up to speed. Everybody worked hard and when the schedule changes for us we're going to need everybody.

"It was a good opener, we would have liked more but we'll be content with that."

  5. 'A fair result' - Clementpublished at 15:52 British Summer Time 3 August

    FT: Hearts 0-0 Rangers

Rangers manager Philippe Clement tells BBC Scotland: "I'm never content with a point because I always want to win but it's a fair result.

"We didn't play well in the first half but we reacted better in the second half. We played more of our normal game but we need to finish our chances.

"There's not one team in the world who is at their sharpest now. Of course it will come, we have a lot of games to go. We need rotation, we can't do it with the same XI.

"I expected some players to be braver in the first half hour, in their duels, so that is not good enough."

On Oscar Cortes, Clement added: "He fell down in a bad way and hurt his knee but said at half-time he was ok. Let's hope it's not too serious."

Motherwell should be ahead in this one, they've had two glorious chances.

Zach Robinson will be hoping he gets another chance to make amends for his miss after 20 minutes, while Moses Ebiye's close-range effort was well saved by Ross Laidlaw.

Ross County did test the Motherwell defence on occasion. But fair to say Motherwell have been the better side in the opening 45 minutes.

Teenager Ewan Wilson has come alive in this game at left-wing back.

This week there is two, and they've created two chances.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:30 British Summer Time 3 August

    Motherwell 0-0 Ross County

Well-worked Motherwell move as Davor Zdravkovski dinks a ball over for young Ewan Wilson, who looks to have set up Moses Ebiye for a tap-in.

But Ross Laidlaw makes a huge save before Wilson has a follow-up effort blocked.

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin is doing his homework at Fir Park.

He's here watching Ross County (presumably) who his side face next weekend.

Before that for him and his United side there is the small matter of the Dundee derby this weekend of course.

Nightingale will breathe a sigh of relief.

Zach Robinson does everything correctly. He puts his body across Nightingale so he can't touch him. He opens up his body, I'm thinking he's done brilliantly.

The only thing he got wrong was bending it wide of the post.
