It's hard to get going when the opposition mirrors you.
It's man for man across the pitch here.

Ever feel like you're being followed?
Callum Davidson gave a right honest assessment of his side's defeat last night in our interview.
He's here today to have a deek at Livingston, who his Queen's Park side host on Friday.
Motherwell 0-0 Ross County
A deep County free-kick is harmless in the end as Aston Oxborough commands his area.

There's been a decent start to this game, both sides trying to venture forward.
The home fans are here in their numbers too and so far are getting right behind their team with plenty of noise.
Motherwell 0-0 Ross County
Nice one, Doddsy.
That's the full thing jinxed now.

Surely there will be goals.
We can't start with two 0-0s, surely?
Motherwell 0-0 Ross County
County are looking to build through the thirds but they can't make it stick up top.
Similar story for Well, to be honest.

This was often brought up last season, but these late kick-offs are right annoying me.
Eventually under way here at 15:03...

If either of these teams can find a win, they'll end day one top of the league!

Rocking up to Livingston today in the knowledge this ground is no longer known as the 'Spaghetti-head' is devastating.
'Home of the Set Fare Arena' is quite the mouthful.

Ross County managed to save themselves in the play-off final last season - like they did the term before.
If they’re to avoid that trauma all over again they’re going to have to arrest their awful away results. They played 19 on the road and won only one of them.
They failed to score in 10 of the 19 and took only nine points from a possible 57. If Don Cowie manages to improve the away form then County will be just fine.
The signing of Ronan Hale from Cliftonville looks a good start. The striker is off to a flyer.

Lanarkshire is bathed in sunshine for this one as the players warm up below me ahead of their opening league fixture.
The pitch here as ever is looking tremendous and Motherwell will be hoping to take advantage of their home surface as they look to find improvements from their league cup showing last weekend.
Ross County will no doubt relish the playing surface too, and they come here in good form, having won all their league cup group games in convincing style.

Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell tells BBC Scotland: "I speak my mind, I'm not going to watch a performance I'm not happy with and try and kid the supporters on.
"Equal to that, it gets blown out of proportion. We live in a day and age when that becomes a drama. I work with an honest group and they weren't happy either, and they don't mind being called out either.
"We've had a lot of challenges. We were dealt another blow last night with some injury news. That makes it difficult but it's not an excuse. We've faced it before.
"Sam Nicholson has missed a period of time already. He was almost back but he felt something else in his knee. Sam gives us a creative edge so that's a blow."

Ross County manager Don Cowie tells BBC Scotland: "We're all excited.
"It's going to be a really difficult game but we feel confident we can perform to the best of our ability and get the result we're looking for.
"We've lost a few key players from last year, there's no secret about that, but we have a good core still at the club.
"We've added really well and I'm delighted with the new players that have come in.
"We're in a really good place. Anything could happen in the next few weeks, players starting to feel anxious about where they fit in, but I want to create a really competitive squad and we've managed to do that.
"We want to stay in the league and then beyond that it's about what we can achieve."
