Aston Villa get forward and it's the first time we've seen that for a while.

I think Ramirez has changed the game for Chelsea. I think she just offers them something more dynamic. She plays a big part in the goal as well.

Maika Hamano sends in another Chelsea corner. This time it's to the back coast and Erin Cuthbert goes for goal on the volley but can't get her shot down and on target.

Villa will probably believe that they can get something if they can get an opportunity going forward - one more.

They are having to defend well against Chelsea as they continue to push.

    Aston Villa 0-1 Chelsea

    Gilly Flaherty

    It's heart-breaking for Villa.

Ramirez does really well there, travels with the ball. You do question whether Patten could get out a little bit quicker to stop the ball coming in because you know Parker has been beaten.

Mayling - it's hard because her body is so closed off.

With the performance that Aston Villa have put in today the last thing you want to do is concede a goal against Chelsea in that manner.

You really have to feel for Aston Villa there.

They have done everything right in this game so far. Gut-wrenching for them.

    Oh what a shame.

Mayra Ramirez takes the ball on the right in heer stride and drives forward.

She squares the ball across looking for Maika Hamano but Sarah Mayling sticks her foot out looking to turn it behind and instead it ends up in the back of her own net.

    Wow. Heart-breaking for Villa.

I've been on the receiving end of many of Kiera Walsh's defence-splitting passes when she was at Man City.

If you're looking to stretch the game, especially with Ramirez, that's where you want to get the ball to.

  16. Postpublished at 16:08 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February

    Aston Villa 0-0 Chelsea

Aston Villa have done so well but Chelsea have got all the big hitters on the pitch now and they will have to just settle themselves to see out the game. Concentration levels must remain high.

It's end-to-end. It's really starting to open up.

Parker manages to get back into position and makes an all-important block at the end. Brilliant from Lucy Parker.

On comes Adriana Leon for Aston Villa. She replaces Chasity Grant.

    Lauren James makes way.

    She was offside anyway.
