A rare foray into the Chelsea penalty area for Aston Villa but the shot is parried away. It comes back out to Jordan Nobbs but it's a poor cross/shot and doesn't hit the target or find a teammate.

Chelsea look to get on the counter attack but it quickly breaks down as Aston Villa just manage to take the sting out of it and put the pressure on the Chelsea attackers.

Niamh Charles is deemed to be offside out on the left.

Aggie Beever-Jones is claiming for a penalty but the referee is having none of it. It was just a bit of a grapple with Noelle Maritz but nothing major.

Aston Villa survive as the ball comes in and Millie Bright flicks it into a dangerous area but, luckily for the home side, there's no Chelsea players lurking around the six-yard box to stab it home.

Aston Villa have done really well so far to keep Chelsea out.

The visitors have had three shots but not managed to get any on target.

Chelsea are finding it a little bit easier to find the space and pick the pockets.

The Aston Villa players are just switching off a little bit, especially when it comes into the middle third.

Chelsea have another corner, this time it's played short then curled in by Catarina Macario but Niamh Charles gets the header all wrong at the back post and heads it backwards rather than towards the target.

Leanne Kiernan's well-worked opener means Liverpool have the advantage at half time.
