I think Villa have got in and around the ball really quickly. They haven't really dropped off and allowed Chelsea to continue to run at them.

They're there, they're on the front foot, they're getting pressure on the ball.

It's been largely Aston Villa with the possession and the chances. Kirsty Hanson whips in from the left and Rachel Daly goes for the spectacular with an attempted overhead kick but it doesn't come off.

Millie Bright tries to clear but only connects with clean air and she's lucky it was Hannah Hampton behind her to gather the ball and not a Villa player.

That would have been spectacular. Yana Daniels spins a cross towards goal from the right-hand side and Kinga Szemik has to pedal back to tip it over the bar and prevent it dipping into the net.

Dario Vidosic makes a further change. Madison Haley, who has put in a lot of effort this afternoon, is replaced by Michelle Agyemang.

An attacking change for Brighton. They want to extend their lead.

Jill Baijings pings out wide to Kirsty Hanson but she can't get it in a position to get a shot or cross off and ends up running round in a circle before going for a slotted pass which no one is there to get on the end of.

Aston Villa's next three games in the WSL - Leicester, Everton, Crystal Palace - they are three huge games and those will be the games that as a club Aston Villa you should be aiming to get three points in each.

If you can produce a good performance like this against Chelsea and make sure it's the full 90 minutes and not just for 45 you are able to carry it into those further games

Villa have just been lacking that bit of quality in the final third.
