    Sevilla 0-0 Real Madrid

Luka Modric fires in the resulting free kick but youngster Jacobo Ramon can't turn it goalwards with his head.

Meanwhile Sevilla look to be readying an early switch to account for that red card.

  2. VAR

Video Assistant Refereepublished at 18:16 British Summer Time 18 May

    Sevilla 0-0 Real Madrid

That decision has just been forensically analysed by the Video Assistant Referee and it has indeed been upheld.

Loic Bade is off down the tunnel for an early bath.

  3. Postpublished at 18:15 British Summer Time 18 May

    Barcelona 0-1 Villarreal

Barcelona are really pushing for an equaliser now but they haven't found a way past Luiz Junior just yet.

Robert Lewandowski tried to get his head to the latest ball into the box but he was crowded out before Junior gathered the loose ball.

  4. RED CARD SEVILLApublished at 18:13 British Summer Time 18 May

    Sevilla 0-0 Real Madrid

A nightmare for the hosts as after a strong start they are reduced to ten men.

Kylian Mbappe had broken the offside trap on the half way line and was on the cusp of breaking away but for a shirt pull from Loic Bade.

No other option for the referee but to send off the French defender.

  5. Leganes and Real Sociedad find early goalspublished at 18:12 British Summer Time 18 May

Elsewhere, Leganes and Real Sociedad are also quick off the mark.

It's a huge goal for Leganes as they scrap for survival and another season in La Liga.

Dani Raba's strike against Las Palmas means Leganes remain in 18th - the third and final relegation spot - but are just two points shy of safety.

Sociedad, who sit 11th, lead Girona through Pablo Marin at Reale Arena in San Sebastian.

  6. CLOSE!published at 18:11 British Summer Time 18 May

    Sevilla 0-0 Real Madrid

Oof another good effort from distance for the hosts as Suso cuts inside from the right and bends one at the far corner.

Didn't quite have enough dip on it to drop into the top corner though.

  7. Postpublished at 18:10 British Summer Time 18 May

    Barcelona 0-1 Villarreal

There had been a bit of a question mark over that Villarreal opener as Nicolas Pepe, formerly of Arsenal, broke over the half way line.

The VAR images have just reaffirmed that Pau Cubarsi did indeed play him onside in the middle.

It's been all Barcelona again since that breakthrough mind.

  8. Postpublished at 18:08 British Summer Time 18 May

    Sevilla 0-0 Real Madrid

Nothing much to report yet from Seville.

Captain Nemanja Guidelj just tried his luck from distance but he was a long way away from bothering Andrey Lunin.

It is sure to be a party atmosphere in Catalonia this evening as Barcelona welcome Villarreal to Estadi Olimpic Lluis Companys.

Hansi Flick's side sealed a domestic Treble on Thursday with a 2-0 derby win at Espanyol, parading the three trophies along the famous La Rambla on Friday afternoon.

Any fans who were unable to make that initial celebration will surely get a first glimpse of the new silverware tonight as they are formally presented with the league title.

Meanwhile Villarreal come to town with their eyes fixed firmly on securing Champions League football next season.

A result here would guarantee their place, as they currently sit five points clear of sixth place Real Betis with two games to go.
