    Hearts v St Mirren (19:45)

Hearts boss Neil Critchley tells BBC Scotland: "We've got three games in a week so [we want to put] a bit of freshness into the team. Calem and Sander have been coming off the bench in the last couple of games and made an impact.

"We felt it was the right time for them to start. Gerald has definitely benefited from a run of training. He's looking stronger and fitter every day. Hopefully he gives us some energy on the right-hand side."

[On Nieuwenhof's return]: "It is like having a brand new signing. He's really impressed me. The people within the building spoke really highly of him as a person and a player."

    Motherwell v Dundee (19:45)

Motherwell manager Michael Wimmer tells BBC Scotland: "The post-match of the game against Dundee United gave me a new picture.

"I hope slowly we can make the right decisions. The more training sessions we have, the more we can work with the players.

"Kai Andrews has great composure on the ball, he plays without fear, he deserved it from the training.

"We want to win our homes games of course but it's important that we bring our best performance on the pitch. If we do this, I'm convinced we can win.

"I'm looking forward to the atmosphere and I'm sure that our fans will support us as much as they can. It's on us to give them this back and leave our hearts on the pitch."

    Motherwell v Dundee (19:45)

Dundee manager Tony Docherty tells BBC Scotland: "Six games to the split and we treat them all like cup ties. It will be a competitive game, that's what I'm expecting.

"Motherwell have a new manager, I expect a good atmosphere to welcome him, we need to ready for that.

"You get an idea from watching their game of what they could look like, but we're focused on our own game. We've got a squad that can be adaptable and it's very much about us tonight.

"We've got some changes we've had to make because of three injuries we picked up on Saturday."

I was here the last time United hosted Hibs. What a cracker that turned into, with Hibs winning as we entered time added on. Only for the Tangerines to find two late goals against the 10 men. Bedlam, with even home boss Jim Goodwin on his backside on the pitch after the last-gasp winner.

You have to go back to December 2021 for the last time Hibs beat them, which was also the last time they won here. Since then, three United wins and three draws.

  5. Magennis & Armstrong in for Killie; Ferguson's Rangers unchangedpublished at 19:20 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

    Kilmarnock v Rangers (20:00)

It looks like Derek McInnes has gone for the traditional 4-4-2 as he welcomes Kyle Magennis and Danny Armstrong back into the starting line-up.

Liam Polworth and Liam Donnelly are the pair to drop out from the side who were defeated by Aberdeen at the weekend.

The big news from Barry Ferguson's first team, is... Well, there's no news. He's gone with the same side who lost to St Mirren in Philippe Clement's final game in charge.

St Johnstone v Ross County (19:45)

St Johnstone boss Simo Valakari has made four changes from the 2-1 defeat to Hearts. There are first starts for Zach Mitchell and Stephen Duke-McKenna, while Jason Holt and Makenzie Kirk also get the nod.

The injured Bozo Mikulic, Graham Carey, Barry Douglas and Elliot Watt make way.

Don Cowie sticks with the same County team that comfortably saw off Dundee at the weekend.

    Motherwell v Dundee (19:45)

Michael Wimmer makes three changes to the side that lost to Dundee United. Callum Slattery, Dom Thompson and Kai Andrews replace John Koutroumbis, Ewan Wilson and Tawanda Maswanise,

Slattery plays his 100th Motherwell game, while Andy Halliday reaches a half century of club appearances and Andrews makes his home debut.

For the visitors, Antonio Portales, Clark Robertson and Seb Palmer-Holden all miss out through injury. Finlay Robertson also drops to the bench with Scott Tiffoney, Oluwaseun Adewumi, Mo Sylla and Aaron Donnelly coming into the starting XI.

  8. Hearts welcome two back; St Mirren unchangedpublished at 19:13 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

    Hearts v St Mirren (19:45)

Calem Nieuwenhof makes his first Hearts start in 360 days, while Gerald Taylor comes in at right-back for the first time since September.

Sander Kartum also makes a first start since joining from Brann in January. Adam Forrester, Jorge Grant and Blair Spittal all drop to the bench.

Unsurprisingly, St Mirren keep the same XI that beat Rangers 2-0 at the weekend.

That was despite major injury doubts over Killian Phillips, Caolan Boyd-Munce and Ryan Alebiosu - who all start.

  9. Stephenson in for United; Kuharevich starts for Hibspublished at 19:11 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

    Dundee United v Hibernian (19:45)

Both sides make just the one change from their respective victories at the weekend.

For United, captain Ross Docherty misses out after limping off against Motherwell so Luca Stepehnson starts in midfield. Craig Sibbald is on the bench for the first time since October having been out with a groin injury.

As for Hibs, Keiron Bowie is among the substitutes despite a good performance against Celtic so Mykola Kuharevich starts up top.

  13. 'No way I was turning it down'published at 19:02 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

    Kilmarnock v Rangers (20:00)

Is this Rangers playing to a beleaguered gallery a week after chief executive Patrick Stewart spoke of "sticking to the plan" with Philippe Clement?

It's not exactly new territory for Barry Ferguson, who won 15 trophies at Ibrox and has around 250 games under his belt as a manager, albeit with Blackpool, Clyde, Kelty Hearts and Alloa Athletic, but it's fair to say the move has raised many an eyebrow.

"When you get offered the opportunity, there was no way I was turning it down," he said on Monday. "I'm just glad I took it and we'll see where it goes.

"I'm confident in my ability, I'm confident in my staff's ability and also the players. I wouldn't be sitting here if I didn't feel ready."

  14. Postpublished at 19:00 Greenwich Mean Time 26 February

    Kilmarnock v Rangers (20:00)

Barry Ferguson's last dressing room team talk came three years ago, before a home defeat for Alloa Athletic against East Fife.

His sudden appointment as interim head coach at Rangers has come as a huge surprise, with the former Ibrox captain admitting himself that it is a dream he never thought would come true.

He will have the assistance of three other popular ex-players, Neil McCann, Billy Dodds and Allan McGregor, as Rangers deal with a mid-season managerial change for the fourth successive campaign.

Can this gang of four get a tune out of an underperforming squad, starting at Kilmarnock tonight?

We have five matches in the Scottish Premiership this evening and a high-profile new addition in the dugout as Barry Ferguson returns to Rangers in a move few would have predicted this time last week.

With the league split looming, every point is precious.
