    Blackpool v Burton (15:00 BST)

The honeymoon period for Steve Bruce as Blackpool manager has been a lovely one. Three league games, three wins and the team moving from 22nd to ninth in League One.

It is Bruce's first spell in the third tier since a brief period at Wigan in 2001 and he is using all his vast experience to get the Seasiders lighting it up on the field.

His opposite number today, Burton's Mark Robinson, would love any kind of victory.

There have been four draws in their six league games but the Brewers and their much-changed squad could do with that first win to get the season up and running.

Who knows? Three points at Bloomfield Road and the Burton team bus might take in the Illuminations on the journey home!

Gary Caldwell and Shaun Maloney go back a long way.

Team-mates at Celtic. FA Cup winners at Wigan Athletic. Manager and assistant with Hibernian in the SPFL.

Now they occupy the hotseats at Wigan and Exeter respectively in League One, separated by one point and two places in mid-table.

Maloney's Wigan are struggling for goals and Caldwell's Exeter in search of consistency as the pair meet for the fourth time.

Last season, it was a win apiece in the league and one in the FA Cup for Maloney, so who will be smiling come five o'clock today?

  3. Pacesetters meet in League Twopublished at 14:50 British Summer Time

    Gillingham v Barrow (15:00 BST)

Gillingham's Priestfield StadiumImage source, Rex Features

Last week the top two met at Meadow Lane but Gillingham's 1-0 win at Notts County wasn't enough to take them top as Barrow leapfrogged both teams with their victory over Newport and head the table by virtue of goals scored.

Gillingham have won all three league games at home, conceding just once along the way while Barrow have won their past two on the road but this game in Kent comes at the end of a week where they have already travelled to Stamford Bridge where they were heavily beaten by Chelsea in the EFL Cup.

They are second and third after that win for Walsall, but the winners of this will be top at 5pm.

Bromley v MK Dons (15:00 BST)

MK Dons manager Scott LindseyImage source, PA Media

The honeymoon might be over for the Bromley boys. Having started life in the EFL with two wins, they have managed just one point from their subsequent five games and they come up against an MK Dons side keen to impress a new manager.

Scott Lindsey engineered Crawley's play-off semi-final win over MK last season but has dropped back down to League Two to see if he can repeat the promotion trick twice.

He has taken over a side who have lost all three away games so far without even scoring a single goal.

  5. Morecambe hope to avoid being tied in Nottspublished at 14:43 British Summer Time

Morecambe v Notts County (15:00 BST)

Morecambe manager Derek AdamsImage source, Rex Features

Whichever way you slice them, the stats make difficult reading for Morecambe fans.

Derek Adams' side are winless this season and in total are 12 games without a victory which, alongside Cambridge United, is the longest run across England's top four tiers.

The Shrimps are also winless in the last six against Notts County with the last meeting back in December ending in a 5-0 hammering BUT the two points Morecambe have managed this season have seen them fight back from two-goal deficits on both occasions.

Notts County were gliding along seamlessly before last weekend's loss at home to Gillingham with four wins from five matches

They are unbeaten on their travels with wins at Bromley and Swindon respectively.

  9. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:27 British Summer Time

    Walsall 4-0 Colchester

Walsall are top of League Two and they have done it in style.

With both sides cancelling each other out in the first-half Jamie Jellis produced the only shot on target and subsequently the only goal.

Albert Adomah gave Walsall some breathing space with his second of the season 11 minutes from full-time and that appeared to be it but there was still more to come.

Jack Earing's 19 minute cameo produced two goals as the Saddlers rode into the sunset.

Colchester started the day as the division's second top scorers but it took them until the 87th minute to get an effort on target and their five match unbeaten run has crashed and burned.

    Harrogate 2-1 Bradford

Stephen Dooley celebrates scoring for HarrogateImage source, Rex Features

Harrogate grabbed a second successive home league win thanks to a fast start against Bradford.

The home side were 2-0 up inside the first 30 minutes thanks to Stephen Dooley and Ellis Taylor but Andy Cook's almost immediate response to Harrogate's second goal seemed to have set-up a grandstand second-half.

Bradford boss Graham Alexander made three half-time changes leaving no-one in any doubt as to his thoughts on the first-half performance but Calum Kavanagh's shot over the bar and a second effort which was blocked was the closest they came to a leveller.

  11. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:25 British Summer Time

    Crawley 0-2 Bolton

Back-to-back league wins for the first time this season for Bolton.

Goals early and late from Kyle Dempsey and John McAtee ensure a good day for Ian Evatt's visitors.

It is now one point from 15 for Crawley as they slip down the table.

  12. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:24 British Summer Time

    Reading 2-1 Huddersfield

A morale boosting win for Reading, head coach Ruben Selles and their long suffering supporters.

Harvey Knibbs and Ben Elliott with the goals as they come from behind to beat Huddersfield.

A third loss in eight days for the visitors and it's now four losses in eight games for them.

    That is not promotion form.

GOAL: Walsall 4-0 Colchesterpublished at 14:22 British Summer Time

    Jack Earing (90+2 mins)

Jack Earing hasn't been on the pitch long but he has a brace.

Nathan Lowe beats the offside trap and squares the ball for Earing to pierce the Colchester goal for a second time in the space of three minutes.

  14. Postpublished at 14:21 British Summer Time

    Crawley 0-2 Bolton

Crawley have acquitted themselves for interim boss Ben Gladwin, but it looks like a defeat.

If results go against them, they could slide into the bottom four later this afternoon.

  15. INJURY TIMEpublished at 14:19 British Summer Time

    Reading 2-1 Huddersfield

Huddersfield have six minutes of injury time to try to conjure up an equaliser.

They are certainly pushing for it.

GOAL: Walsall 3-0 Colchesterpublished at 14:19 British Summer Time

    Jack Earing (89 mins)

Nathan Lowe has a shot saved but Jack Earing is on hand to fire in from just inside the area.

This has been clinical stuff from Walsall - four home games = four wins - there's nothing cheap about the football on show at the Poundland Bescot Stadium.

  17. Postpublished at 14:17 British Summer Time

The latest effort for Huddersfield is from Antony Evans but his volley at goal is off target.

Both teams recognising the importance of the next goal.

Neither team wants to make a mistake, but this is where you have to be brave and face it head on.

  20. Postpublished at 14:12 British Summer Time

David Button is forced into action again for Reading as he has to push away Mickel Miller's corner from going straight in.
