Well, there we have it then. Another thrilling day of EFL action comes to an end in typically dramatic style as Stockport score an injury-time equaliser.

County extend their scoring run in league games to 19 matches and keep in touch with the play-off spots.

Barnsley miss the opportunity to close the gap on the top two in League One but will still reflect on what has been a solid start to the season.

Birmingham City have extended their lead to two points and Blackpool continue their fine form under new manager Steve Bruce.

If today's 10-hour bumper schedule of football wasn't enough for you, fear not as there is more on the horizon.

Swansea City host Bristol City in the Championship tomorrow before a full midweek programme in all three divisions.

    Until then, goodbye!

  2. 'We didn't have enough control'published at 22:18 British Summer Time 28 September

    FT: Barnsley 1-1 Stockport

Barnsley head coach Darrell Clarke said his side "lacked cohesion" in the second-half against Stockport.

Clarke told Sky Sports: "I thought we defended our box really well for the majority of the game. They obviously put a lot of forward-thinking players on and it looked like we were going to see it through.

"But unfortunately a deflection cost us, so we have to take our medicine on that.

"Performance as a whole... a bit bitty if I'm honest, lacking a bit of cohesion at times but it looked like we were going to grind it out but it wasn't to be so we take the point."

On giving away the lead, he said: "It's frustrating, but more frustrating was the lack of control at times. We didn't get our football going that we are capable of producing.

"We have to look at that. As a whole we defended quite well but didn't have enough control of the ball to put any sustained pressure on them."

  3. 'The big word will be consistency'published at 22:16 British Summer Time 28 September

    FT: Barnsley 1-1 Stockport

Stockport manager Dave Challinor felt his side more than deserved Louie Barry's late equaliser.

Challinor told Sky Sports: "Late goals are great. I think we deserved at least that. The start wasn't great, I was critical of them last week but the second half was more like us.

"We were braver and on the front foot, nothing was different, they're very good at pressing and they ask questions of you.

"We built up some momentum, the subs that came on gave us some impetus, we got some chances.

"We needed a bit of luck, great moments to celebrate with our supporters. I think to get the goal at the end like we did was deserved. "

  4. 'We were the better side in the second-half'published at 22:01 British Summer Time 28 September

Louie Barry believes Stockport were well worth their point and has paid tribute to the visiting fans.

The 21-year-old is experiencing his second season on loan from Aston Villa having excelled for Dave Challinor in League Two last season.

Barry told Sky Sports: "A really good game from our part.

"We were the much better side in the second half, the support had been making noise in the second half so it was good to see them leave with something.

"It feels amazing, I came back because of the fans, they are amazing, the best I've been involved with.

"The moment with the fans was amazing - I felt they deserved to run over and celebrate with."

  5. 'A good point'published at 21:59 British Summer Time 28 September

    FT: Barnsley 1-1 Stockport

Stockport midfielder Lewis Bate said it was a "good point" away from home but believes they could have taken all three.

Bate told Sky Sports: "You can always count on him [Louie Barry] in the big moments, so glad he got the goal but I think in the second-half we deserved to win the game, so it's a bit frustrating.

"Second-half we were miles better than the first-half. It's a good point but we wanted more."

On bouncing back from defeat last weekend: "We had to bounce back. We wanted to with three points but it's a tough place to come and they're a good team, so we will take the point."

We called it, you could sense it was coming.

We had to keep a clean sheet but we just hung on, it took an equaliser for them to get going again, we seemed happy to just sit back.

When you invite pressure on like that you know they're going to score, you need to dig those results out.
