1. 'It will feel like a cup tie' - McInnespublished at 14:48 BST 30 August

Livingston v Heart of Midlothian (15:00)

Hearts head coachg Derek McInnes tells BBC Scotland: "We've shown good form since the start of the campaign. We've had some decent results, but case in point last week, we've got to make sure we're the team that gets ourselves in front.

"The response we got last week was magnificent, but it's clear how important getting that first goal is for teams.

"For ourselves, tapping into 6500 fans in the Hearts end, you've got to try and feed off that. It will certainly feel like a cup tie. I want us to play cup football throughout the league campaign, particularly when we go away from home."

On new signing Ageu who makes the bench, McInnes adds: "You wouldn't pigeon hole him, he can do a bit of everything. A lot of what he does is done at speed, with purpose and he's robust as well.

"Everybody deserves huge credit for getting him to sign for the club. He only trained with us yesterday, he's not really played for a while, so we resisted the temptation to start him, but we'd like to get him on to the pitch."

  3. Martindale ready for 'big game'published at 14:44 BST 30 August

Livingston v Heart of Midlothian (15:00)

Livingston manager David Martindale tells BBC Scotland: "I think this is the biggest game we've had outwith the Old Firm.

"It's great to see the Hearts fans travelling.

"There were a couple of muscle injuries at Parkhead, but I've probably reverted back to the shape I see us playing this season. We're a body down in midfield just now, so it probably is a slight tweak.

"Last week [against Celtic] we had to be a bit pragmatic and realise that may be difficult.

"There's no denying Hearts are a bigger club, a bigger team and they'll be looking to take all three points as well."

  4. 'I'm not asking anyone to applaud me' - Kettlewellpublished at 14:42 BST 30 August

    Motherwell v Kilmarnock (15:00)

On his return to Fir Park, Kilmarnock manager Stuart Kettlewell tells BBC Scotland: "Fine, fine, I've seen a lot of familiar faces. I enjoyed my two years here. I poured my heart and soul into it to make it successful.

"I moved on, Motherwell clearly moved on. They're a team performing really well, caught a lot of headlines with the football they've played."

On the reception he will receive, he adds: "I can't control it. I'm not asking for anyone to applaud me. People can say and do what they want."

  5. Askou hopes Slattery's 'little knock' isn't seriouspublished at 14:37 BST 30 August

    Motherwell v Kilmarnock (15:00)

On missing key midfielder Callum Slattery, Motherwell manager Jens Berthel Askou tells BBC Scotland: "He's had a little knock here during the week, we're still assessing it."

When asked how serious the injury could be, Askou replied: "Too early to tell. Hopefully it's not as bad. We'll see in the next couple of days."

On trying to lead his team to their first league win of the league season, he adds: "Every point we get during the season is important, we are attacking every game.

"If we win today, we will be happy, then we will prepare for a weekend without a game. We've been close [to a win]. We hope it's going to be today."

Despite Stuart Kettlewell's comments leading up to the match, Kilmarnock's trip to Motherwell is about him.

It is the first time the Killie boss returns to Fir Park following his resignation in January, when he cited fan abuse as a factor.

"I've been back to an old club before," Kettlewell said. "It's something that happens in football.

"I try to act as professional as I can. It's not about me. I hope you all know that I have never felt this is about me. I believe in being humble and not having an ego."

In response, his opposite number, Jens Berthel Askou, insists Kettlewell "deserves respect" on his return.

The former Ross County midfielder has had a steady start to life at Rugby Park, with three successive draws to kick-off the Premiership season - the same as Motherwell.

Centre-back Liam Gordon and forward Ibrahim Said come into the side.

New signings Regan Charles-Cook, the former Ross County winger previously with Eupen, and Oscar Priestman, the midfielder bought from Western Sydney Wanderers, are on the bench.

  14. Hearts to go top?published at 14:08 BST 30 August

Livingston v Heart of Midlothian (15:00)

The big incentive for Hearts today in Livingston is that they will go top of the Premiership with victory.

Derek McInnes' side start the day two points behind reigning champions Celtic, who do not play until tomorrow.

That is what traditionally is a difficult derby game away to Rangers, but their city rivals are in a bit of disarray at the moment.

More on that here and being discussed shortly on Sportsound.
