Devante Rodney scored twice as Rochdale reignited their bid for a place in the National League play-offs with a home win over Aldershot.
Jimmy McNulty's men went into the game without a win in their last four games but got on top from the start and Sam Beckwith fired home the opener in the 15th minute after a clever corner routine.
The Shots looked a shadow of the side that arrived on a run of eight league games unbeaten and Rodney grabbed Dale's second on 36 minutes when he fired home the rebound after Aidan Barlow's initial drive was blocked.
Luca Woodhouse headed the visitors' best chance wide from a corner on the stroke of half-time but there was no let-up from the home side after the interval.
They wrapped up victory in three second-half minutes as Rodney finished off a fine solo move before Ian Henderson got on the end of a swift counter-attack.
