I hate to say it but I don't think it is a penalty.

GOAL - Wycombe 0-2 Aston Villapublished at 21:43 British Summer Time

    Jhon Duran (85 mins, pen)

Dispatched with ease into the bottom right corner by in form striker Jhon Duran.

That is surely Aston Villa into the next round of the League Cup!

  3. PENALTY TO ASTON VILLApublished at 21:42 British Summer Time

    Wycombe 0-1 Aston Villa

Jhon Duran goes down under the challenge from Declan Skura. There was a bit of contact from the goalkeeper Franco Ravizzoli too as he came out to meet the ball.

  4. 'Walsall should have won in normal time'published at 21:42 British Summer Time

    Walsall 0-0 Leicester City

    Curtis Davies
Former Premier League defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Walsall should have won it in normal time and penalties are the least they deserve. Leicester will be really disappointed. They have been so, so sloppy.

  5. Postpublished at 21:41 British Summer Time

    Walsall 0-0 Leicester City

    Michael Beardmore
BBC Sport at Poundland Bescot Stadium

The final whistle is greeted with cheers by the Walsall fans - and boos from the visiting supporters.

That kind of tells you the story really - the very least the League Two side deserved is to take this to penalties.

Walsall have already won two shootouts this season - can they make it a third or will Leicester spare their own blushes?

  7. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:38 British Summer Time

    Man City 2-1 Watford

That will do for Manchester City. A bit of a nervy final few minutes but they get the job done in the end.

That brilliant Tom Ince goal made things interesting but ultimately Jeremy Doku and Matheus Nunes' first-half goals are enough to see City into the next round of the Carabao Cup.

Not a bad start to the season for Christopher Nkunku!

  9. Postpublished at 21:36 British Summer Time

    Wycombe 0-1 Aston Villa

Good play from Wycombe. Cameron Humphreys fizzes one across the box but Garath McCleary can't sort his feet out to poke into the net.

He has another opportunity moments later but the header is over the bar.

    Wycombe going for this.

  10. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:35 British Summer Time

    Chelsea 5-0 Barrow

A hat-trick from Christopher Nkunku, with two of those goals coming inside the opening 15 minutes, an own goal from Paul Farman, plus a goal from Pedro Neto on the easiest of easy nights for Chelsea against League Two Barrow.

  11. 'Walsall are pushing on'published at 21:33 British Summer Time

    Walsall 0-0 Leicester City

    Curtis Davies
Former Premier League defender on BBC Radio 5 Live

Walsall have kept going and kept the momentum and are really pushing on for that goal to avoid it going to penalties.

This is a nervous time for Leicester right now.

  12. INJURY TIMEpublished at 21:33 British Summer Time

    Man City 2-1 Watford

Four minutes for Manchester City to see this one out. Or for Watford to get a last minute equaliser?

  13. Fatawu and Foxes threateningpublished at 21:31 British Summer Time

    Walsall 0-0 Leicester City

    Michael Beardmore
BBC Sport at Poundland Bescot Stadium

It's been all Leicester the past 15 minutes, the Premier League side clearly keen to avoid the lottery of a penalty shoot-out.

Abdul Fatawu has been their shining light, tormenting the Saddlers down the right wing - but his final pass, cross or shot just hasn't quite come off.

  14. Magnificent Barrow support have kept at itpublished at 21:31 British Summer Time

    Chelsea 5-0 Barrow

    Nizaar Kinsella
    BBC Sport football news reporter

Substitute Katia Kouyate forced a corner just now right in front of the away end to draw huge cheers in the 85th minute.

Barrow have also forced Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen into a number of second half saves and one chance from a corner should have led to a goal.

There is plenty to be proud of for the Cumbrian side that have competed well but been outgunned in the final third by Chelsea's more than £400million starting XI.

Chants of "Stand up if you're top of the league" and "you're not Chelsea anymore" are coming from a still packed away end as the match draws to a close.

  15. 'Wycombe's changes haven't had the effect Bloomfield would have liked'published at 21:31 British Summer Time

    Wycombe 0-1 Aston Villa

    Glenn Murray
Former Brighton striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

All of a sudden, Aston Villa look really assured in possession.

I feel like Wycombe haven't really benefitted from their changes. Not everyone seems to be on the same page. They don't seem to have had the effect Bloomfield would have liked.

  16. goal

GOAL - Man City 2-1 Watfordpublished at 21:28 British Summer Time

    Tom Ince (86 mins)

    What. A. Goal.

Kyle Walker gets a bit muddled and can't clear the ball. It drops into the path of Giorgi Chakvetadze who lays it off for Tom Ince 20-yards out.

He curls an absolute beauty into the top corner for his fourth goal in the competition already this season.

Can they find another one minutes from full time to force penalties?

  17. Postpublished at 21:27 British Summer Time

    Wycombe 0-1 Aston Villa

It's not been entirely comfortable for Aston Villa, despite the lead. They will want another goal to sure this one up and prevent penalties.

  18. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:26 British Summer Time

    Man City 2-0 Watford

On comes Pierre Dwomoh for his senior debut having signed in the summer. He replaces Imran Louza. That's all five subs made by the visitors.

  19. Postpublished at 21:24 British Summer Time

    Man City 2-0 Watford

Ten minutes or so to go in Manchester as City continue to search for that third goal.

Savinho drives forward to the byline and cuts it back for Jack Grealish but Jonathan Bond makes a really good save down to his left to deny the winger.

  20. 'Hopefully the changes can get Wycombe back in the game'published at 21:23 British Summer Time

    Wycombe 0-1 Aston Villa

    Joe Jacobson
Former Wycombe Wanderers captain on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think with the starting line-up that Bloomfield put out, there were plenty of opportunities for him to change it up.

He has switched up the front three and there are goals in this. Hopefully, this gives them as bit of impetus and pace in the wide areas and hopefully, they can get Wycombe back into the game.
