Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile, speaking to the club website: "Chelsea is one of the best clubs in the world, so people expect you to win it and we're comfortable with that.

"We've been aware of that since the start of the tournament and we're ready to meet those expectations.

"It's been going really well. We've won every game. The start of the competition has been flawless so far - despite the fact that we could have played some games slightly better. But ultimately, the win is what counts.

"We are really pleased with our performance so far, but it's not over yet. We still have a lot of games to go before we can win the trophy. We're going to give everything we've got to win it because it's an important objective for us.

"I'm going to give my all with the team to win this trophy, because we have what it takes."

Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall says he "thrived" on playing in the atmosphere created by Legia Warsaw fans on his previous visit to the stadium.

The 26-year-old is the only member of the squad to have previously experienced playing in the hostile atmosphere at Stadion Miejski Legii Warszawa when he visited with Leicester, who suffered defeat in the Europa League in 2021.

"It is definitely an atmosphere you have to experience as a player because it gives you the added little motivation. The home fans will help the home side but I feel like we can use it to help us," he said.

"It was a little bit hostile [the atmosphere], but in a good way. There were a lot of passionate Polish fans and they really support their team. I'd not experienced it before but that's the amazing thing about playing in Europe, you get to experience different atmospheres.

'When I played here before, it was something I thrived on - even though we lost the game [with Leicester] - and I'm looking forward to experiencing it again."

  4. Chelsea odds-on for Conference League?published at 16:59 British Summer Time 10 April

Opta's supercomputer meanwhile rates Chelsea as clear favourites to lift the Conference League trophy this May.

Like with the Europa League, it has simulated the remainder of the competition's knockout stage 10,000 times to analyse each side’s chances as well as projecting a potential winner.

And it's positive news for the one British side remaining in the competition...

  5. Who are the favourites to win the Europa League?published at 16:55 British Summer Time 10 April

Tottenham, Manchester United and Rangers are clearly in the Europa League to win it - but Opta's supercomputer does not rate their chances too highly.

It has simulated the remainder of the Europa League knockout stage 10,000 times to analyse each side’s chances as well as projecting a potential winner.

And it's not good reading for the three British sides.

Tottenham are only third favourites to win the trophy at 17.2% - trailing Athletic Club (24%) and Lazio (20.1%).

Ruben Amorim's Manchester United, meanwhile, are fourth with only a 15% chance of lifting the title.

Rangers, meanwhile, finished last in the simulations with them only having a paltry 1.8% chance of going all the way.

  6. And how about the Conference League?published at 16:52 British Summer Time 10 April

The draw for the Conference League is now set, with a potential route through to the final in Wroclaw now clear for all eight sides in the quarter-finals.

    Conference League semi-final draw

    • Real Betis/Jagiellonia Bialystok v Celje/Fiorentina

  7. What is the route to the Europa League final?published at 16:48 British Summer Time 10 April

The draw for the Europa League is now set, with a potential route through to the final in Bilbao now clear for all eight sides in the quarter-finals.

Should the Opta supercomputer projections prove wrong, there is the prospect of an all-British final with Tottenham in the top half of the draw and both Rangers and Manchester United - who could meet in the last four - in the bottom half.

    Europa League semi-final draw

    • Tottenham/ Eintracht Frankfurt v Bodo Glimt/Lazio
    • Rangers/Athletic Club v Lyon/Manchester United
