Bradford close the gap to league leaders Walsall to seven points after the Bantams' 1-0 win at Bromley.

Walsall missed their chance to stretch their lead to nine points after surrendering a two-goal lead at Cheltenham to draw 2-2.

Fleetwood move up to 12th after coming from a goal down to see off Gillingham 2-1. It was the Cod Army's first win in four league games whilst it's 13 without at win now for the Gills.

And Accrington go seven clear of the drop zone after picking up a big 1-0 win at Tranmere who are now winless in 10 games.

    The League One Table

Birmingham go nine points clear of second-placed Wycombe who they host on Saturday.

Huddersfield's defeat by Wigan leaves their play-off spot very much up for debate but the Latics move seven points clear of trouble.

Leyton Orient stay sixth after the loss at Birmingham and they have a London derby against seventh-placed Charlton on Saturday.

Northampton remain only four points above the drop zone as they lost at home to Barnsley.

The Tykes are back in the play-off picture with that victory at Sixfields.

Middlesbrough's 3-1 win sees them back in the promotion hunt, equal on points and goals with 10th placed Norwich City.

For losers Stoke, however, they see themselves displaced by the victorious Cardiff City with three games against top 10 opposition facing them next.

As for Hull City, they remain a relegation threat and will need to take something out of next week's game against Plymouth Argyle if they are to avoid the Devon based side levelling their points tally.

    FT: Cardiff 1-0 Hull

    Tony Pennock
Former Hull City coach on BBC Radio Humberside

There's only one team with fewer goals scored in the division than Hull, and that's Luton.

Cardiff's keeper hasn't made a save. Hull boss Ruben Selles will be really disappointed.

The wingers have put a few in the box, but nobody has got their head on the end of it.

It is going to be a tough run in.

  8. 'Solid Boro beat a poor Stoke side'published at 21:57 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    FT: Stoke 1-3 Middlesbrough

    Neil Maddison
Former Middlesbrough midfielder on BBC Tees

    One result can turn everything.

Have you seen how happy the Middesbrough players were?

It was a solid performance against a really poor side.

You've got to win what is in front of you.

  9. 'Hull are in trouble'published at 21:54 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    FT: Cardiff 1-0 Hull

    Mike White
    Commentator on BBC Radio Humberside

You've got to do the dirty work against the teams that are causing you problems.

    The Tigers are in trouble.

Hull City have got to find some consistency, they can't go and win against the top teams and then lose a game like this.

  10. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:47 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Birmingham 2-0 Leyton Orient

Jack Currie's early red card for Leyton Orient left them with too much to do as Birmingham maintain their unbeaten home record.

It's 16 without defeat at St Andrew's - only the fourth time in their history they've done that.

Second half goals from Taylor Gardner-Hickman and Ethan Laird broke the visitors resistance as Blues go nine points clear at the top of League One ahead of Saturday's meeting with second-placed Wycombe.

It's been a frustrating night for the Londoners.

  13. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:41 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Cardiff 1-0 Hull

Callum Robinson supplies Cardiff City with three vital points to rise above their visitors and put six points between them and the relegation zone.

Hull City saw themselves exploited when their failure to clear the ball out of danger gave Robinson the opportunity to strike into the net.

Boss Ruben Selles made promising substitutions with the introduction of Joao Pedro and Abu Kamara but despite some good plays between the two, no one in the penalty area was able to capitalise and Hull return home no further forward in the relegation battle.

  14. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:41 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Northampton 1-2 Barnsley

Barnsley hold on despite going down to 10 men late on with Maël de Gevigney dismissed.

A double from leading scorer Davis Keillor-Dunn did the damage with a late Sam Hoskins strike giving the home side hope.

It's back-to-back wins for Barnsley as they seek to get back in the play-off race while Northampton remain just four points clear of trouble.

  15. FULL-TIMEpublished at 21:40 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Stoke 1-3 Middlesbrough

Middlesbrough boss Michael Carrick is given reason to celebrate as his side put a stop to their five-game winless run with a victory against a scrappy Stoke City.

A tenacious Finn Azaz converted Tommy Conway's pass to regain the lead early into the second half and then repaid the favour to set up Conway to put the game out of reach of the home side.

Finally, a win for Boro and a much needed one at that.

But two goals from George Miller and Jordan Thomas in stoppage time earns the Robins a massive point against the League Two leaders.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Cardiff 1-0 Hull

Alex Robertson sees himself in the naughty book for kicking the ball away.

Not long left for Cardiff to keep a hold of all three points.

  19. INJURY TIMEpublished at 21:37 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Cardiff 1-0 Hull

Joao Pedro and Abu Kamara have looked switched on in these ending stages.

  20. goal

GOAL Birmingham 2-0 Leyton Orientpublished at 21:37 Greenwich Mean Time 25 February

    Ethan Laird (84 mins)

    That will finish it.

It's good build-up play from the League One leaders with Chrisoph Klarer eventually finding Ethan Laird who grabs his second EFL goal of the season.
