The game is crying out for quality as both sides make a string of changes.

Fans have had little to shout about but it may be the one goal which settles this tight affair.

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Ross County

Ronan Hale is on for Jack Grieves, in an attacking change from Ross County manager Don Cowie.

This second half has lacked the minimal quality of the first half.

  6. Five minutes to go at Fir Parkpublished at 16:19 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Motherwell 2-0 Aberdeen

Tom Sparrow cuts it back for Motherwell team-mate Tony Watt but his edge-of-the-area strike is a poor one and spins away from goal.

With five minutes to go, Motherwell are looking uncharacteristically disorganised despite playing against 10 men.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:17 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Dundee United 0-0 Hearts

Blair Spittal is 30 yards out but manages to crack the crossbar with a free-kick!

It's a brilliant strike from the Hearts midfielder. He's keen to score against his former club.

  8. Postpublished at 16:16 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Dundee United 0-0 Hearts

Better from United as they get two strikes away in the box.

Jort van der Sande is first up, but it's blocked before Ryan Strain sends one over the bar.

  9. Postpublished at 16:14 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Celtic 2-0 St Mirren

Alistair Johnston pings a pass towards the St Mirren goal but it bundles all the way through to Zach Hemming, who takes a wee tug from Luke McCowan before play resumes.

  10. Frustrated Well fanspublished at 16:13 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Motherwell 2-0 Aberdeen

    Jane Lewis
BBC Sport Scotland at Fir Park

You sense the Motherwell fans are getting quite frustrated as not only are their team not threatening to add to their score in this second half, but they're allowing Aberdeen to see plenty of the ball and create some decent chances in front of goal.

The Aberdeen fans have upped the noise levels, despite their team losing this one so far and they've seen them put in some effort so far in the second 45.

  11. Postpublished at 16:10 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Motherwell 2-0 Aberdeen

Tawanda Maswanhise's 20-yard shot bobbles narrowly wide of the post as Motherwell look to add a third.

He's been excellent this afternoon, Aberdeen have struggled to deal with him.

  12. Postpublished at 16:10 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    St Johnstone 0-3 Dundee

An excellent block denies Nicky Clark, whose goal-bound effort from close range looked certain to burst net.

  13. Will United maintain second-half form?published at 16:09 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Dundee United 0-0 Hearts

Dundee United have scored 23 goals in the second half of games this season and conceded 12.

Hearts have scored 13 and conceded 19.

  14. Postpublished at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    HT: St Johnstone 0-3 Dundee

    Amy Canavan
    BBC Scotland at McDiarmid Park

The football might not be very good from their side, but, the half-time playlist here at McDiarmid Park is class.

Gotta take whatever wins you can...

  15. Lights out at Celtic Parkpublished at 16:07 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Celtic 2-0 St Mirren

    Andy Burke
BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

For a few seconds Celtic Park is plunged into almost complete darkness as the floodlights cut out!

A few gasps from the crowd followed by an ironic cheer as the lights come back to life a few seconds later.

Somebody tripping over the master plug, perhaps?

  16. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:06 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Motherwell 2-0 Aberdeen

Motherwell surrender possession in their own half allowing Aberdeen to break forward but Ante Palaversa can't control Duk's knee-high ball and it skips away from him.

Moments later, though, Leighton Clarkson has an opportunity and smacks his powerful drive off the crossbar.

A few Aberdeen half-chances in the second half now but the 10 men are no closer to getting something from the game.

  17. KICK-OFFpublished at 16:05 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

Games getting back under way for the second half.

  18. Hearts edging tight affairpublished at 16:02 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    HT: Dundee United 0-0 Hearts

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Scotland at Tannadice

Not the best 45 minutes at Tannadice this season…by some way. With a little more composure in front of goal Hearts would have been ahead and despite having the majority of the ball in the first half Craig Gordon has yet to be tested in the visitors' goal.

  19. Home fans seeking qualitypublished at 16:00 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Ross County

    Gully Singh
BBC Sport Scotland at Rugby Park

Kilmarnock fans urging their players to move the ball quicker in a first half with County having produced the much better of the chances.

Time for a half-time pie and surely Derek McInnes will be instructing his players to get into this game and put on a display.

  20. Postpublished at 16:00 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Motherwell 2-0 Aberdeen

Duk, somehow, hasn't been given the chance to halve the deficit.

He's diving in at the back post to meet a low cross but it is somehow turned behind for a corner by Liam Gordon.

It looked easier to score an own goal than clear the ball there, a seriously impressive clearance.
