  1. Postpublished at 16:00 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Motherwell 2-0 Aberdeen

Slobodan Rubezic was shown a red card towards the end of the first half, and there were two more dismissals after the whistle for members of staff from each club.

During the half-time break, Aberdeen coach Peter Leven and Motherwell coach Richard Foster were both shown a red card for an apparent coming together.

    Motherwell 2-0 Aberdeen

Aberdeen are trying to mount a comeback at Fir Park and have around half-an-hour left to try and force a result.

  3. HALF-TIME - Dundee United 0-0 Heartspublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

A fiercely competitive first half at Tannadice but not quite enough quality.

Liam Boyce's cross, which rattled off the bar, is as close as either side has come. Craig Halkett also had a header cleared off the line for Hearts.

The visitors have been the better side.

United haven't created much in a scrappy, frenetic game, and that's probably why Jim Goodwin went to his bench to make a double change after 40 minutes.

  4. HALF-TIME St Johnstone 0-3 Dundeepublished at 15:52 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

Disastrous first half for St Johnstone, far from disastrous for Dundee after goals by Simon Murray, Seb Palmer-Houlden and Lyall Cameron.

  5. Postpublished at 15:50 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Motherwell 2-0 Aberdeen

Duk tries to rise and meet a floated cross but he's got no chance against the Motherwell back line there.

Aberdeen have shown some signs of life since the restart.

  6. HALF-TIME Kilmarnock 0-0 Ross Countypublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

A half that Ross County have dominated but the teams head to the sheds tied goalless.

The visitors have had the better chances but have only really tested Robby McCrorie once through captain Connor Randall. McCrorie was equal to Randall's curled effort, tipping over the bar.

  7. HALF-TIME Celtic 2-0 St Mirrenpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

Despite a tricky start to their afternoon at Parkhead, Celtic are comfortably ahead at the break.

A great response from Brendan Rodgers' side following the midweek disappointment.

A long way back for St Mirren.

  8. Postpublished at 15:46 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Motherwell 2-0 Aberdeen

Aberdeen's Topi Keskinen breaks forward at great speed after the ball breaks from a Motherwell corner.

He drives into the box and cuts it back to Duk, the only Dons player who was able to match his pace and support him in the final third, but he blasts his shot into a defender.

Promising for Aberdeen, despite being down to 10.

  9. Double United changepublished at 15:44 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Dundee United 0-0 Hearts

Interestingly, Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin makes a double change before the break.

Richard Odada is replaced by captain Ross Docherty and Jort Van der Sande is on for Miller Thomson.

So, two of the three changes from the derby haven't made it to the half-time whistle.

    St Johnstone 0-3 Dundee

Saints should probably have one back as Benjamin Kimpioka drops a shoulder and curls a good chance wide of the far post.

  12. Postpublished at 15:43 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Celtic 1-0 St Mirren

Celtic have avoided defeat in their past 32 matches when scoring first in the Premiership, since a 1-2 loss to Kilmarnock on 10 December 2023.

  14. Postpublished at 15:40 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    St Johnstone 0-3 Dundee

St Johnstone's possession is now up at 76%.

Quite staggering that Dundee have scored three times with just 24% of the ball.

  16. Sighs of relief at Celtic Parkpublished at 15:37 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Celtic 1-0 St Mirren

    Andy Burke
BBC Sport Scotland at Celtic Park

That was a lovely move from Celtic which was finished in typically clinical fashion by Nicolas Kuhn.

A good time to score too as the home fans were just starting to get slightly restless as St Mirren sat in and frustrated the home side.

  18. How will Aberdeen respond?published at 15:36 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    HT: Motherwell 2-0 Aberdeen

    Jane Lewis
BBC Sport Scotland at Fir Park

After a quiet start, there was plenty of drama in that first half. The second 45 minutes will be interesting. Motherwell finished on a high.

How will the Dons respond though? Before they lost a man and a second goal, at times they showed signs they were capable of mounting a dangerous attack or two...but there's a different complexion on this match now for them.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:34 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Kilmarnock 0-0 Ross County

    What a save that is!

The ball drops to Connor Randall on the edge box and he curls a great effort towards the top corner, but Robby McCrorie somehow manages to tip it over the bar.

  20. goal

GOAL Celtic 1-0 St Mirrenpublished at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Nicolas Kuhn

St Mirren did well to hold on but it felt like Celtic would find a way through eventually.

The move is started by Luke McCowan in the middle of the park who finds Daizen Maeda on the left and Nicolas Kuhn's first time finish turns in the pass.
