  6. Permutations, permutationspublished at 14:33 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

The Scottish Premiership's top six is likely to look broadly similar come close of play to day but there's an outside chance Kilmarnock could creep up to sixth, depending on the results.

Dundee United and Aberdeen, third and fourth, could conceivably swap places, likewise St Mirren and Motherwell, who are fifth and sixth. Hibernian are seventh but could be usurped by Killie.

At the bottom, St Johnstone will finish Sunday bottom but could get closer to or become more detached from Hearts, Ross County and Dundee.

  13. Thelin remains unfazed by winless runpublished at 14:18 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Motherwell v Aberdeen (14:30)

Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin tells BBC Scotland: "It's a tight schedule but also we think always try to play the team for the specific game.

"It's the best team to start but some of the players were suspended last game and they are fresh today and ready to play.

"The way [Motherwell] play, they are quite direct and it's also good in transitions, so I think we have to be… the way we play with the ball and also how compact we are without the ball is important but also that we can be a sharper team in the way we build up the attacks.

"It's still working hard but also keep an eye on the future and try to build step by step, don't get too stressed because we know what we have to do and we're trying to do it and execute these parts.

"That's the process we are right in now and, of course, you need some points and you need to take the win to get this feeling, but keeping the direction is important for us right now.”"

  14. Kettlewell wants another fast startpublished at 14:16 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January

    Motherwell v Aberdeen (14:30)

Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell tells BBC Scotland: "We have to freshen up, we need some fresh impetus into the game with the amount that we're playing at this minute in time.

"We're obviously still struggling with a number of injuries.

"We feel like an attacking line-up today, we start with three strikers, which may be regarded as bold, but we want to try and take the game to Aberdeen and try and see if we can get off to a similar start to what we had against Rangers because that always gives you a foundation and we never get close to that, to be honest, with you against Hearts."

    Motherwell v Aberdeen

Aberdeen's dip in form is one of the big mysteries of the season. They started this campaign with 13 straight wins, but they are now on a horror run of no wins in nine games. They will be desperate to re-discover that earlier form.

As for Motherwell they've not won in their past four, so things could be worse. But inconsistency has been a recent issue. Stuart Kettlewell berated his players after defeat to Hearts, he'll be after a positive reaction.
