  5. 'Blues are back in it'published at 13:21 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November

    HT: Shrewsbury 2-1 Birmingham

    Darren Carter
Ex-Birmingham midfielder on BBC Radio WM

This is what happens when you put a ball into the box, it makes something happen, it disjointed Shrewsbury and Iwata is there, the finish has been helped by the surface.

Cool, calm, and composed from Iwata. Blues are back in it.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:20 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November

    Shrewsbury 2-1 Birmingham

A lively first 45 minutes is at an end.

Aaron Pierre and John Marquis struck two close-range goals in quick succession to put Gareth Ainsworth two-up in his first match in charge, but Tomoki Iwata's finish moments before the break has teed the second half up perfectly for the neutral...

  7. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:20 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November

    Bolton 0-1 Blackpool

Kyle Joseph's seventh goal of the season separates the sides at the break.

Bolton goalkeeper Nathan Baxter should have done better but Joseph won't care.

As a spectacle it's not great and referee Ed Duckworth has done well to keep a lid on things.

Baxter has also denied Jordan Lawrence-Gabriel while the closest Bolton have come is Josh Sheehan's free-kick which was narrowly wide.

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 13:20 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November

    Bolton 0-1 Blackpool

Josh Sheehan has had one too many words with referee Ed Duckworth and is cautioned for his troubles.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:19 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November

    Grimsby 0-0 Colchester

The visitors have had the better of things with Harry Anderson and Samson Tovide both forcing Jordan Wright into saves.

At the other end Matt Macey's been called into action to deny Callum Ainley.

    It's cagey and it's goalless.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November

    Stevenage 0-0 Leyton Orient

    All square at the break.

Not much in the way of excitement at the Lamex, Louis Thompsson's 20-yard dipper which was spilled by Josh Keeley, only for Louis' twin brother Nathan to prod wide from close range under pressure from Dan Happe was as close as either side have come.

Hoping for better in the second period.

  11. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November

    Notts County 0-0 Newport

No goals at the break at Meadow Lane.

Notts County have had the better of things but Newport will be pleased they go in at 0-0.

Hopefully we'll see some goals in the second half.

  12. goal

GOAL Shrewsbury 2-1 Birminghampublished at 13:16 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November

    Tomoki Iwata (44 mins)

Blues back in it right before the break...

Ethan Laird's cross from the right dropped kindly for Tomoki Iwata to fire home to halve the deficit at a good time for Chris Davies.

That was only the second time this season they have been two goals down, but it was only for six minutes.

Can they complete the turnaround after the break?

  13. Postpublished at 13:15 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November

    Bolton 0-1 Blackpool

Josh Sheehan gets another look at the Blackpool goal with a free-kick outside the box.

It strikes the wall and Bolton want a penalty for handball - no go and play continues.

  14. Postpublished at 13:15 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November

    Notts County 0-0 Newport

A good old goalmouth scramble at Meadow Lane...

Notts County's Jevani Brown, George Abbott and Matt Palmer all have shots blocked.

After all that County win a free-kick as Palmer's cross finds Lucas Ness but his header goes over.

  15. 'Really poor from Blues'published at 13:14 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November

    Shrewsbury 2-0 Birmingham

    Darren Carter
Ex-Birmingham midfielder on BBC Radio WM

The pull back wasn't really caught well by Castledine, Allsop has tried to deal with it but Marquis is there to tap it into the net.

    Really poor goal for Blues.

  16. Postpublished at 13:11 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November

    Grimsby 0-0 Colchester

Denver Hume fancies a shot for Grimsby and why not? It goes wide.

  17. goal

Wow. Blues are all over the place.

Salop launch a break down the right flank through Alex Gillead and Tom Bloxham which ends with Ryan Allsop blocking Leo Castledine's effort and the ball rolling to John Marquis to slam home his third league goal of the season.

    The Gareth Ainsworth effect?

  18. Postpublished at 13:08 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November

    Notts County 0-0 Newport

More good work from Notts County.

Nick Tsaroulla plays through George Abbott who puts in a teasing low cross towards the back stick but it's just unable to reach Alassana Jatta.

  19. Postpublished at 13:08 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November

    Bolton 0-1 Blackpool

Close to a second for Blackpool but Nathan Baxter does just enough to deny Jordan Lawrence-Gabriel.

  20. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 13:08 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November

    Shrewsbury 1-0 Birmingham

A very early switch for Chris Davies and Birmingham

Keshi Anderson is hauled off for Lyndon Dykes and does not appear to be injured and does not appear to be very happy with the decision, 11 minutes before the break. He had already been booked though, which might have played a part in Davies' decision.
