  1. Wimmer wants 'passion and energy'published at 15:01 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    Dundee United v Motherwell (15:00)

Motherwell manager Michael Wimmer tells BBC Scotland: "I'm interested to see what the guys bring on the pitch, how we implement the ideas.

"It's important that we find the balance. We've had only three training sessions, it's not easy to give the team all the ideas in three days.

"We talked about the principles and it's important that we try to play high-intensity, and that we have passion and energy on the pitch. These are the important things. It takes time.

"It was difficult to pick the starting XI but it's important for me to get a picture of the game, and after the game I can work with this impression."

  2. 'No reason' St Mirren can't beat Rangers again - Robinsonpublished at 15:00 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    Rangers v St Mirren (15:00)

St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson tells BBC Scotland: "We recently beat Rangers, so there is no reason why we can't [win again]. It is slightly different away from home, at Ibrox where they have been very good but make no mistake for all the noise around them they have very, very good players.

"We have to be at the top of our game as always. They give will give chances away, there will be opportunities and chances, it is about being clinical at both ends.

"The last two games against the two big Edinburgh clubs, we played very well and had been the better side, dominated the game. I've been happy with the performances. There is not a lot to change. The boys are playing well.

"Toyasi [Olusanya] was not 100% today, so we go with Jonah [Ayunga] he gives us the same physical outlet with the same pace."

  3. Dessers & Igamane 'to force result' - Clementpublished at 15:00 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    Rangers v St Mirren (15:00)

Rangers manager Philippe Clement tells BBC Scotland: "It is always important to be focused only on [matters on the pitch]. That is a lesson you need to take as a player, for sure when you are young.

"There is only one focus for us, the trainings and the games. If you are busy with all the other things, you lose your focus and concentration. You do not control all those things, so our focus is only on the football.

"We want to force the result. Cyriel [Dessers] and Hamza [Igamane] are doing good things together and we also have Danilo on the bench. I used one midfielder more than necessary against Hearts as they like to build from the back. St Mirren is a different team, they are direct, so it is time to use two strikers together."

  4. 'Difficult to gauge Aberdeen' - McInnespublished at 14:59 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    Aberdeen v Kilmarnock (15:00)

Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes tells BBC Sportsound: "We had Kyle Magennis scanned and thankfully he was fine, there's nothing sinister there. There's still a wee bit of discomfort and swelling but he'll be fine for the game in midweek.

"When you see Aberdeen, it's difficult to gauge them. They were never as bad as what they were. They were maybe just not having that bit of confidence that teams need.

"We always expect a tough game. There's an expectancy here that Aberdeen should win the game so it's up to us to deliver a performance and disrupt that.

"Bobby Wales has always been one in my time at the club that was well thought of by the youth coaches.

"Last season we took the benefit of putting him out on loan and we were really pleased with what he gave Alloa.

"He obviously gets attention when he scores but he's been putting in good performances in games where he hasn't scored too."

  5. Cowie keen to build on County positivitypublished at 14:58 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    Ross County v Dundee (15:00)

Ross County manager Don Cowie, whose side have not won at home since November, tells BBC Radio Scotland: "It's an important game. Everyone can see where ourselves and Dundee are in the table and what's at stake.

"It's about building on a really good performance against Motherwell last week.

"The context of that [winless home run] is we've not had too many home games in that spell. We've faced Celtic and Rangers in that run. Today is an opportunity to get back on the winning trail.

"Dundee were outstanding against the Old Firm last month. They've not had the results they would like in the past couple of games but we know what they are capable of and must be prepared for that, but the boys are confident, we're in a good place and it's about taking that on to the pitch today."

  7. New boss bounce?published at 14:53 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    Dundee United v Motherwell (15:00)

    Jane Lewis
    BBC Sport Scotland at Tannadice

It's an awful cliche, but Motherwell fans will be hoping to witness the "new manager bounce".

With just one win in 11 games, it's a run of form they're desperate to see change for the better.

Dundee United have also been struggling for results recently. Although they've faced some tricky ties, one win in seven in all competitions, defeated in their past four means they too could do with a turnaround in fortunes.

  8. SFA verdict on disallowed goalpublished at 14:51 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    FT: Hibernian 2-1 Celtic

We've had some Scottish FA guidance on that disallowed Celtic goal.

The VAR check was from the 18-yard line camera and showed that the ball had crossed the byeline.

  9. Mitov returns for Aberdeen; Donnelly in for Kilmarnockpublished at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    Aberdeen v Kilmarnock (15:00)

Both managers make one change each after enjoying victories last weekend.

Aberdeen goalkeeper Dimitar Mitov starts for the first time since sustaining a hamstring injury in December as Ross Doohan makes way.

Kyle Magennis fails to make the Kilmarnock squad despite having a scan on his knee cleared this week. He is replaced by Liam Donnelly.

  10. County unchanged as Dundee switch threepublished at 14:46 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    Ross County v Dundee (15:00)

Unsurprisingly, having swept Motherwell aside in Lanarkshire last week, Don Cowie names an unaltered Ross County line-up.

Tony Docherty will feel his team were unlucky to take nothing from their clash with Aberdeen and makes three changes to his starting XI.

Goalscorer Seb Palmer-Houlden is in from the off, as are Finlay Robertson and Ryan Astley.

Scott Tiffoney, Mohamed Sylla and Aaron Donnelly drop to the bench.

  11. Ferry back for United; four changes for Wimmer bowpublished at 14:45 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    Dundee United v Motherwell (15:00)

Jim Goodwin makes three changes from the 3-0 loss to Celtic, and reverts to a back-three. Ryan Strain and Will Ferry return to play on both flanks, while Rauri Paton partners the league's top scorer, Sam Dalby, up top.

Luca Stephenson, Glenn Middleton, and Kai Fotheringham are named among the subs.

New Motherwell gaffer Michael Wimmer sticks with a back-three in his first game in charge, but changes four from the 3-0 loss to Ross County.

Johnny Koutroumbis, Dan Casey, Ewan Wilson, and Tawanda Maswanhise are in. Tony Watt is ineligible against his parent club, while Kofi Balmer drops out completely. Callum Slattery and Dominic Thompson are replacements.

  12. Rangers change two; Ayunga replaces Olusanyapublished at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February

    Rangers v St Mirren (15:00)

Philippe Clement opts to make two changes to the Rangers side that defeated Hearts last Sunday, with Robin Propper and Cyriel Dessers coming into the host's starting XI.

Tom Lawrence drops to the bench, as John Souttar joins fellow defenders Leon Balogun, Dujon Sterling and Neraysho Kasanwirjo on the Rangers injury list. Centre-forward Danilo, returning from injury, is listed as a substitute.

There is just one alteration for the visitors, as St Mirren boss Stephen Robinson switches Jonah Ayunga in for Toyosi Olusanya.

Scott Tanser is available and named on the bench, as Evan Mooney, Alex Iacovitti and Conor McMenamin miss out.
