  1. Four changes for Sky Blues; One for Claretspublished at 12:22 British Summer Time 5 April

Frank Lampard has made four changes to the Sky Blues XI which went down 3-1 at Sheffield United eight days ago.

Brad Collins comes in for the injured Oliver Dovin between the sticks, his first start since before Christmas, while Liam Kitching is back after missing the Blades defeat and Jay DaSilva and Jack Rudoni also return to the side with Luis Binks, Jake Bidwell and Victor Torp all dropping to the bench.

Scott Parker has made one change to the Burnley side which edged past Bristol City 1-0 last weekend.

Saturday's match-winner Zian Flemming – despite being on the verge of a Championship record unbeaten run - is among the substitutes, with Lyle Foster handed a start leading the line.

  2. Key game in play-off chase at the Hawthornspublished at 12:20 British Summer Time 5 April

West Brom v Sunderland (12:30 BST)

Tony Mowbray welcomes his former club Sunderland to the Hawthorns at lunchtime, looking to join them in the Championship play-off places.

West Brom are currently seventh, two points behind Coventry in sixth, while the Black Cats are fourth but with a 13-point gap to Frank Lampard's side.

It has been a frustrating few weeks for the Baggies, who were held at home to Hull before the international break and followed that up with a defeat at Norwich last weekend.

Sunderland's win at home to Milwall on Saturday got them back on track after a defeat to Coventry, but they have won three of their last five in the league.

  3. In-form Hatters look to put more pressure on wobbling Whitespublished at 12:18 British Summer Time 5 April

    Luton v Leeds (12:30 BST)

This might be second bottom v second on paper but very few (if any) Leeds fans will be taking getting a result from this one for granted.

Daniel Farke's side are a whopping 43 points better off than their hosts but have taken just six from their past five matches compared to the 10 obtained by Luton.

Goal difference means that even a win for the Hatters wont be enough to see them move out of the relegation zone but it would put huge pressure on the teams above them.

The Whites will return to top spot, albeit possibly only briefly, if they can take the points back up the road to West Yorkshire.

Farke revealed the headline team news for this game on Thursday when he confirmed that ever-present goalkeeper Illan Meslier would be dropping to the bench after his mistake in the 2-2 draw with Swansea last week.

Wales international Karl Darlow is in.

  4. Clarets eye top-spot with history at stakepublished at 12:16 British Summer Time 5 April

    Coventry v Burnley (12:30 BST)

There's precious points in the promotion race as well as Championship history at stake as Burnley head to Coventry for a potential cracker this lunchtime.

Clarets attacker Zian Flemming stands on the verge of a record as he has not tasted defeat in his past 34 appearances in the second tier, since former club Millwall's 1-0 defeat at Huddersfield on 6 April, 2024.

A point or more at the CBS Arena today would see the Dutchman equal former Claret Glen Little's record of 35 appearances without losing while at Reading in 2005/06 - though if Flemming is to match it he will have to do so from the bench as he's been rested in favour of Lyle Foster this afternoon.

A win could take Burnley top, depending on how Leeds do at Luton, with leaders Sheffield United, two points ahead, not in action until later this afternoon.

The Sky Blues slipped to sixth last night but a victory here could open up a five-point lead over the play-off chasing pack with six games remaining after today, though they are without keeper Oliver Dovin for the run-in due to an ACL injury.

Coventry are winless in six against Burnley since 2010 but Frank Lampard's side are however on their best home run in nearly four years, winning four straight... do not miss this one for the world!

Middlesbrough's 2-0 win at Blackburn on Friday night has shaken things up in the play-off race.

Michael Carrick's men climb to fifth, as high as they have been all season, above Coventry and leaving West Brom on the outside of the top-six looking in, ahead of their lunchtime kick-offs today.

The scrap for survival is shaping up to be one for the ages.

Seven points separate nine teams who are battling to avoid the drop, while Plymouth could set nerves jangling even more if they can pick up a win against Norwich this afternoon.

  7. Buoyant Boro beat beleaguered Blackburnpublished at 12:09 British Summer Time 5 April

The weekend EFL action got under way last night with Middlesbrough's convincing win over listless Blackburn.

The game was done and dusted inside the first 10 minutes thanks to Tommy Conway's wonderful finish and a deflected Samuel Iling-Junior goal for in-form Boro.

Victory in Lancashire means they start the weekend in fifth after a fifth win in seven games.

Blackburn, whose fans have asked chief executive Steve Waggott, chief operating officer Suhail Pasha and head of football operations Rudy Gestede to stay away from games, have lost their past five in what is proving to be a dismal end to the season.

With four weeks to go in the regular season in the Championship it's no surprise that today is littered with huge games and we're straight into the thick of the action.

Three of the top four are involved in the early three early games in the second tier, as well as the teams in sixth and seventh and a team fighting relegation.

The temperature is up, the sun is out and the stakes are high.

    Let's get going.
