  1. 'We'll see' - Critchley coy on formation changepublished at 14:55 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Celtic v Hearts (15:00)

Hearts head coach Neil Critchley tells BBC Scotland: "We're not naive enough to think we'll come here and dominate. But we will have to show courage on the ball.

"We're very positive. We've won our last two and we've made strides in the right direction. We've got an exciting end of the season to come and we want to attack this game with energy."

On a potential change of formation for this game, Critchley adds: "Possibly, we'll see. The formation is one thing, but it's also about how you approach the game psychologically."

  2. Rodgers believes Sinisalo has 'great future'published at 14:55 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Celtic v Hearts (15:00)

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers tells BBC Scotland: "We signed [Viljami Sinisalo] because he has a great future and great potential.

"This is a chance for him to come in, I'm really looking forward to seeing him play. He's showing up well in training but playing in front of a crowd is a different thing."

Rodgers adds that he's still unsure how long Kasper Schmeichel will be missing for but says he will know more on Monday after the goalkeeper has a scan on his shoulder injury.

  3. Maeda's magic runpublished at 14:54 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Celtic v Hearts (15:00)

Little wonder Celtic are hoping to entice Daizen Maeda with a new contract. The Japan forward is enjoying a sensational season.

He's on 28 goals and shows no sign of slowing down.

Maeda has scored in each of his past seven league starts, netting nine times.

He last played in Scottish football on the 11 May 2013 in a 4-0 Celtic win over St Johnstone. Victor Wanyama is back, wearing no.44 and on the bench, for Dunfermline after reuniting with his old gaffer Neil Lennon.

Wanyama's old captain Scott Brown is in the opposite dug-out and this Celtic old boys' reunion should be fascinating, as Ayr will go back second in the Championship if they win.

  5. Celtic seek rebound to close in on titlepublished at 14:50 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Celtic v Hearts (15:00)

    Martin Dowden
    BBC Scotland at Celtic Park

Defeat to Rangers took a bit of sheen off of Celtic's march to another Premiership title. Brendan Rodgers will demand they get back on track quickly and emphatically.

It's a big day for Viljami Sinisalo in goal who replaces the injured Kasper Schmeichel. It seems he may have the chance to get a few games under his belt at the business end of the season and that could help make him or cast doubt going forward.

For Hearts, their top six fate will be determined by this outing and two further fixtures. They will be desperate to reach that goal and anything taken here will go a long way.

  6. Plenty on the line at Pittodriepublished at 14:49 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Aberdeen v Motherwell (15:00)

    Tyrone Smith
    BBC Scotland at Pittodrie

Aberdeen know a win will secure a top six spot.

That is the very least of their targets for the season, but it is one nonetheless, and if they achieve it they can then turn their focus to the race for Europe.

But Motherwell also have top six aspirations of their own.

The Steelmen are seventh just now but a win in the Granite City, coupled with Hearts slipping up at Celtic, would see them move into the top half of the table.

    All to play for...

  7. Hibs continue quest for thirdpublished at 14:48 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Hibernian v St Johnstone (15:00)

    Brian McLauchlin
    BBC Scotland at Easter Road

With only one point required for Hibernian to seal their place in the top half of the table for the run-in there may be some fans who will be content with a draw. But David Gray and his players have big plans and will be looking for the win which would aid their quest for a third place finish.

St Johnstone though are battling for their lives and under Simo Valakari have certainly given themselves a fighting chance of beating the drop. Saints have scored in all but one game since the turn of the year so will be a real threat and the home defence will have to be at their best to keep their goal intact.

  8. Blustery for Buddies & Killiepublished at 14:45 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    St Mirren v Kilmarnock (15:00)

    Calum Macdonald

Stephen Robinson noted the conditions in his pre-match interview and I can confirm that it's far from pleasant. We're expecting gusts of up to 40mph at kick-off.

Both sets of players got a bit of a shock when they came out for their warm-ups. Quite a few from both teams nipped back in to get jackets and gloves.

Just three points between these two and both will hope that the weather isn't the deciding factor.

  9. Dons recover in time for run-inpublished at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Aberdeen v Motherwell (15:00)

Two wins followed by two draws have steadied the ship for Aberdeen after it looked like their season would sink after such a brilliant start.

Motherwell have taken seven points from their most recent three outings and will want a few more from this visit to Pittodrie and next weekend at Kilmarnock to set up what could be a top-six decider with Hearts at Fir Park.

  10. Can Killie keep up unbeaten run against Buddies?published at 14:39 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    St Mirren v Kilmarnock (15:00)

St Mirren really need a win to keep their top-six hopes alive, but Kilmarnock have had their number in recent years.

The Ayrshire side are unbeaten in the past 10 league meetings between the teams, winning five of those.

Before home fans throw in the towel, it should be pointed out that Kilmarnock have picked up a meagre nine points on the road this season, the lowest tally in the division.

  11. Hibs seek famous five in a rowpublished at 14:36 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Hibernian v St Johnstone (15:00)

Hibs have not lost a league match since early December on their incredible surge from last to third.

Today they go for a fifth successive home victory, something they haven't done since 2018.

St Johnstone are winless in their past three league meetings with Hibernian (D1 L2), and have only kept one clean sheet in their past 10 league meetings with the Edinburgh team.

However, Saints have only lost two of their past 10 matches in all competitions as they battle to avoid the drop.

  12. Rare blip for championspublished at 14:33 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Celtic v Hearts (15:00)

Thirteen points clear at the top, Celtic have lost two of their past four league games, having only suffered two defeats in their previous 46 outings in the Premiership.

Prior to Rangers' 3-2 victory on 16 March, Hearts were the last league rival to win at Celtic Park, back in December 2023.

It doesn't happen often. Hearts have lost 25 of their last 27 away games at Celtic in all competitions with one draw in that run.

  13. Idowu and Taylor in for Buddies; three Killie swapspublished at 14:28 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    St Mirren v Kilmarnock (15:00)

Stephen Robinson makes two changes to the St Mirren starting XI that drew 2-2 with Motherwell before the international break.

Roland Idowu and Richard Taylor replace the suspended Toyosi Olusanya and the injured Alex Iacovitti.

Derek McInnes opts for a triple change, with central midfield duo Liam Donnelly and Liam Polworth returning to the starting line-up alongside striker Bruce Anderson.

They replace attackers Danny Armstrong and Bobby Wales, with defender Robbie Deas also dropping to the bench.

  14. Mitov out again for Dons; Motherwell swap twopublished at 14:24 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Aberdeen v Motherwell (15:00)

Dimitar Mitov is out for Aberdeen after picking up an injury on international duty with Bulgaria. Ross Doohan deputises in the sticks again.

Jeppe Okkels comes back in as Shayden Morris drops back to the bench. Graeme Shinnie drops into defence while Leighton Clarkson comes in. Pape Gueye also replaces Oday Dabbagh up top.

Harry Paton and Luke Armstrong come into Michael Wimmer's Motherwell side, making it two changes from the side that drew 2-2 with St Mirren.

Luke Plange drops to the bench alongside Kai Andrews, with Tawanda Maswanhise also named among the subs. He's returning from injury.

  15. Kuharevich in for Hibs; double swap for Saintspublished at 14:21 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Hibernian v St Johnstone (15:00)

David Gray has made just one change from Hibs' last Premiership outing - a 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock - as Myko Kuharevich replaces Kieron Bowie in the starting XI.

Saints boss Simo Valakari has made two changes from their goalless draw with Aberdeen, Victor Griffith and Jonathan Svedberg are in for Adama Sidibeh and Stephen Duke-McKenna.

  16. McGregor & Sinisalo start for Celtic; Milne makes Hearts debutpublished at 14:18 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

    Celtic v Hearts (15:00)

Celtic switch two following their derby defeat last time out as injured goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is missing but captain Callum McGregor returns.

That means Viljami Sinisalo comes in for his first Premiership start in goal, while Luke McCowan drops to the bench.

There are also two switches for Hearts, who beat Ross County a fortnight ago, and it could be a change of formation as left-back Harry Milne makes his debut.

The defender comes into the side with Cammy Devlin as midfielders Blair Spittal and Sander Kartum drop to the substitutes.

  17. Wanyama kept in reservepublished at 14:14 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

Victor Wanyama starts on the bench for Dunfermline, by the way.

No big surprise since he's only been in Scotland for a few days and has not played a lot of football for FC Montreal over the past couple of MLS seasons.

  18. Brown v Lennon tops Championship billpublished at 14:11 Greenwich Mean Time 29 March

Neil Lennon v Scott Brown, with a side order of Victor Wanyama? We have some Celtic heroes stardust at Somerset Park as Ayr United take on Dunfermline Athletic.

Eyebrows were raised when the struggling Fifers appointed Lennon until the end of the season and those eyebrows went higher still when he persuaded Champions League finalist Wanyama to join him.

Elsewhere in the Championship, there's a big game at Cappielow as Morton meet Partick Thistle. There's no love lost between those two and a win for the in-form Greenock side would narrow the gap on the Jags to just one point in the scrap for the last remaining play-off spot.

Hamilton Accies are at home to Raith Rovers, with the visitors still clinging on to hopes of overtaking Morton and Thistle.
