    What a night of League One and Two action we've been treated to yet again.

    We saw 67 goals fly in this evening in 23 games across League One and League Two.

    Bolton and Northampton served up a goalfest at Sixfields as the visitors ran out 4-2 winners, while Fleetwood thrashed Walsall 6-2.

    Birmingham City fans will be jumping for joy after opening up a healthy gap at the top of League One, while Nigel Clough's Mansfield are up to third in the third tier.

    Gillingham fans - not so much, after they saw the gap cut to just one point in League Two and Notts County gained ground.

    We've got another four games in the Championship tomorrow night before we go again for another weekend of almost guaranteed entertainment.

    Birmingham City have extended their lead at the top of League One to five points after they beat Huddersfield and Wrexham lost at Stevenage.

    Mansfield's 2-0 victory away at Crawley lifts them up to third while Lincoln and Blackpool drop to fourth and sixth respectively following their 1-1 draw.

    Stockport's first win in five games sees them move into fifth.

    Crawley, Burton Albion, Shrewsbury and Cambridge all lost tonight and remain in the relegation zone.

    Gillingham may have slipped to a 1-0 loss to Grimsby but they stay at the top thanks to that devastating 6-2 defeat for Walsall.

    The Saddlers went into the second half in the number one spot but Fleetwood were majestic as they went full steam ahead and rise to sixth in the standing thanks to their second successive win.

    Notts County move into second after their 2-0 win against Carlisle, who stay in 22nd place.

    Barrow's 1-0 loss to Doncaster sees them slip to fourth while Rovers climb to fifth.

    • Rotherham get their first away league win for almost two years, beating Cambridge 1-0.

    A wonderful brace from Wolves loanee Chem Campbell to open up his Reading account set the Royals on their way before Sam Smith and Danilo Orsi traded late goals.

    Burton remain winless and in the relegation zone.

    Reading take six points in four days to sit two points outside of the play-off places, albeit in 12th.

    Walsall 2-6 Fleetwood

    Fleetwood's glut of second-half goals leaves Bescot stunned.

    At the half-time whistle, the Saddlers were leading the pack at the top of the table but the Cods came out strong with FIVE goals in the final 45 minutes to quickly swipe away the excitement at the stadium.

    Ronan Coughlan and Kayden Hughes both head home with braces, Marry Virtue and Mark Helm with goals of their own and the entire Fleetwood squad with a massive win under their belts.

    What a night.

    Defeat for Wrexham.

    A 10th-minute strike from range by Louis Thompson was enough to condemn the Red Dragons to their second defeat of the campaign.

    Phil Parkinson's side have now won just one of their last four and lose ground on League One leaders Birmingham.

    Stevenage record back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

    Steve Bruce's 100% winning record comes to an end.

    Blackpool looked on course for a fifth consecutive victory after Lincoln saw Adam Jackson sent off for a second yellow and Kyle Joseph put the hosts 1-0 up four minutes later.

    But Tom Hamer rescued an unlikely point for the visitors with a header from close range in the 95th minute.

    The Imps preserve their unbeaten record away from home.

    Harry Clifton's 81st-minute volley sees Doncaster Rovers take home all three points from a defiant Barrow.

    The visitors had a much stronger second-half to clock five shots towards goal but it was nothing compared to the 10 of their opponents and the pressure from Rovers finally paid off.

    Barrow fans will feel downhearted having lost it so late in the game but the defence held well to keep the goal difference just at one.

    Rotherham haven't won away for nearly two years but that is about to end as Sam Nombe has headed in while on the floor after slipping in the 92nd minute. Cambridge are staying bottom and winless.

    Ben Waine fires Mansfield 2-0 up against Crawley, while Tom Eaves and Jon Guthrie have pulled two back for Northampton against Bolton - 4-2 now at Sixfields.

    Exeter still lead Leyton Orient 1-0 but are down to 10 men after Caleb Watts hacks down an Orient man in midfield. That's the first red card of his career.

    Blues wasted a few good chances but they got the all important goal through Alfie May after he was teed up by Jay Stansfield in the 63rd minute.

    That's now SEVEN wins in a row for Birmingham and it marks their best winning run since 1946.
