A last-gasp strike from Jade McLaren was enough for Montrose to snatch victory against a battling Dundee United.
Erin Henderson’s looping effort over United keeper Beth Mowat just before the break had given the hosts a deserved half-time lead.
United powered back in the second half, with Alix Moodie volleying home from Morgan Steedman’s knockdown to level the scores just after the hour mark.
Both sides pressed for an equaliser in a scrappy final half-hour, with Montrose’s Alma Codegoni rattling the upright from distance before the ball bounced clear.
But with seconds remaining, McLaren stepped up with a long range effort which beat Mowat to secure all three points.
