Not anticipating any issues with Everton's loan signing of Carlos Alcaraz from Flamengo, but the Argentine may well be the only arrival of the transfer window.

Club sources have indicated that there are no strikers available at the right price in the current market that can come in and improve the team immediately.

The Friedkin Group have come in as the new owners and the Profit and Sustainability situation has improved, but money is going to be spent wisely rather than for the sake of doing so.

Beto scored twice in the 4-0 thrashing of Leicester on Saturday but there seems to be positive news on the injury front, with the on-loan Armando Broja expected to be back in action in four to five weeks from an ankle injury, rather than the 12 weeks that was initially expected.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin should be back from a hamstring issue before the end of the season, while Youssef Chermiti could also be back from a thigh injury in the next three to four weeks.

Find it utterly bizarre that we are still in the title race, with a massive win yesterday, but clearly have injuries and we haven’t gone and bought or loaned an attacking player.

What on Earth are Arsenal going to do if Kai Havertz breaks his ankle in training tomorrow? We'd be up a certain creek without a rowing device. Leicester are another club expected to have a relatively uneventful deadline day.

Right-back Woyo Coulibaly is Ruud Van Nistelrooy's only signing this month, having joined from Parma for around £3m.

The manager said the club would work "until the last second" of the window to bring reinforcements but unless there is some late drama it looks like it will be a quiet day at the King Power Stadium.

The Foxes - third bottom of the Premier League - still need to work within of profit and sustainability restrictions.

The club also need to be mindful of bringing in players who can make a difference, having signed Odsonne Edouard on loan from Crystal Palace on deadline day in the summer, only for the striker to have made four substitute appearances in the top flight so far this season.

England Under-20 winger Will Alves has joined Cardiff on loan and Wilfred Ndidi had interest from Monaco but Van Nistelrooy has already ruled out selling the Nigeria international midfielder.

Defender Caleb Okoli - who is yet to start for Van Nistelrooy having joined from Atalanta for around £12m under Steve Cooper in the summer - is also currently set to stay.
