Two goals from Danilo Orsi gave AFC Wimbledon a 2-0 win at Blackpool.

Wimbledon led at the end of a first half sorely lacking in quality and chances thanks to Orsi's spot-kick after 38 minutes.

Jordan Brown was adjudged by referee Ben Speedie to have brought down Alistair Smith just inside the area – with the home players insisting that he touched the ball, and that contact had been made outside the box.

Orsi kept his nerve, slotting home with keeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell rooted to the spot.

Struggling Blackpool had a chance to level with their first shot of the half, three minutes into stoppage time, but Albie Morgan fired straight at Nathan Bishop.

The Dons keeper was given a sterner test just before the hour mark, pushing away a well-struck effort by Josh Bowler.

Three minutes later, Wimbledon sealed their victory with a second goal.

Ryan Johnson met Jake Reeves' cross and, although Peacock-Farrell got down well to save Johnson's header, Orsi followed up for a simple tap-in.
