Pep Guardiola is now speaking to the media and our reporter Shamoon Hafez has asked the Manchester City boss whether he spoke with England coach Thomas Tuchel about leaving Phil Foden out of his latest squad.

The City midfielder said this week that he has "struggled" this season because of off-field issues and injury.

"It's true that a long time he's been struggling with his ankle but I haven't spoken to Thomas," said Guardiola.

On Foden travelling to this summer's Club World Cup, Guardiola added that "in principle, he'll come to America" but Kyle Walker will not travel with City after completing his loan at AC Milan.

Ballon d'Or winner Rodri returned off the bench on Tuesday after a lengthy injury lay-off but Guardiola said the midfielder is "not ready to start" at Fulham.

Bournemouth v Leicester (Sun, 16:00 BST)

    Leicester City

Finally from Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy on his Foxes future: "If you look at the job, my job, I'm responsible for the good of the football club. It could be an opportunity to start planning early, which would have benefited the club.

"It is not about me and my future - it's about what's good for the club. Of course, it is up to them with how they want to deal with it. Then I will focus and continue to do so over the coming days. That's the job.

"They (Leicester's board) know what I think and how I see things - it is up to them to respond to that. We will all find out, hopefully sooner rather than later."

He added: "Those six weeks we have been working on a certain development and preparation for next season.

"That came with development of individuals, with [positive] results and good performance, closing cycles, and bringing some positivity to the support. That is what my focus is."

  3. No new injuries for Foxespublished at 12:33 British Summer Time

Bournemouth v Leicester (Sun, 16:00 BST)

    Leicester City

Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy on Leicester's support: "Of course, what we have to do and what we want to do is give them something to cheer about. That's the most important thing we have to do."

  4. Foxes style to remain the same without Vardypublished at 12:29 British Summer Time

Bournemouth v Leicester (Sun, 16:00 BST)

    Leicester City

Leicester boss Ruud van Nistelrooy on Sunday's approach changing without Jamie Vardy: "I think the way we play it won't change a lot because the 10 players around the striker position are clear how we want to play on and off the ball.

"I think filling in that position with another striker won't require a lot of difference in the type [of striker].

"It depends on who fills it in. Patson Daka is a type who also makes the deep runs. He is also quick in transitions."

On whether he reads articles about him leaving: "Yes, I do actually. I read them and I go back to my job because that's what I'm here for. That's what my responsibility is and what my drive is - to prepare for the game on Sunday with the players.

"Six weeks ago, I came into this room and changed the narrative on the season - shaping the future, bringing in academy players. We had to because of the relegation.

"Those six weeks have been development and results. That's something I want to continue with the players.

"We wanted to break some cycles which we also achieved, bring some positives towards the end of the season and take it into the new season. Now it's the last game on Sunday and we're focused on that."

    Shamoon Hafez

Manchester City and coach Pep Guardiola will be looking forward to the end of this campaign on Sunday.

Guardiola is set to hold his final pre-match news conference of the season and could be asked about Phil Foden's omission from the England squad.

Rodri returned to action on Tuesday after being out with a serious knee injury, so how pleased was the Spanish boss at seeing his compatriot's return and how much have they missed him?

We'll find out later this lunchtime.

Either Van Dijk or Gravenberch, both have been instrumental this season. However, considering Liverpool really struggled without Van Dijk when we played Brighton it shows he is an important piece in Liverpool so he is my player of the season (excluding Salah).
