  1. Wilting Rose all but relegated?published at 14:47 British Summer Time 12 April

    Scottish League 2

Peterhead have come good and their 10-game unbeaten run, combined with East Fife's indifferent form, means they host fifth-top Spartans with a four-point lead at the top of the fourth tier.

Game of the day, though, is third-top Edinburgh City hosting the side one place and three points behind - Elgin City.

At the bottom, and because of their poor goal difference, Bonnyrigg Rose, who have gone 10 games without a win, will be all but be consigned to a Pyramid Play-off if they lose at home to East Fife and Forfar Athletic, who have moved off the bottom having lost just once in six outings, win away to Clyde.

  2. Red letter day for Red Lichties?published at 14:46 British Summer Time 12 April

    Scottish League 1

Arbroath, unbeaten in eight outings, will win the League 1 title if they beat third-top visitors Stenhousemuir, who have not won in five, in a match being broadcast live on the BBC Alba television channel.

Second-top Cove Rangers, who have not won in four, are away to Dumbarton, who are unbeaten in four despite already being relegated because of their points deduction for going into administration.

Kelty Hearts, without a win in six, visit Inverness Caledonian Thistle in their first game since Charlie Mulgrew resigned as manager.

    • Arbroath v Stenhousemuir (17:30, live on BBC Alba)

  3. Every game vital in second tierpublished at 14:45 British Summer Time 12 April

    Scottish Championship

Ayr United's late equaliser denied Falkirk the chance to secure the Championship title this weekend, but because of their far superior goal difference, the Bairns will be all but there if Livingston lose to Greenock Morton for the first time in 10 meetings since 2016.

Win, though, and David Martindale's side will reduce the gap to six points and move five clear of third-top Ayr with three games remaining.

Morton need a win to maintain any chance of taking fourth place from Partick Thistle, who host a Hamilton Academical side looking to build on a win over Dunfermline Athletic that moved them up to third bottom.

Raith Rovers are unbeaten in six and now only three behind Thistle as they entertain an Airdrieonians side who are staging their own revival.

Queen's Park have been dragged into relegation battle after eight straight defeats, five at home, and having not scored in three outings as they host second bottom Dunfermline.

The Pars have won once in five as they have failed to respond so far to Neil Lennon's managerial appointment and they head to Glasgow having failed to beat their hosts in their latest six meetings.

Dundee United v St Johnstone (15:00)

St Johnstone manager Simo Valakari tells BBC Scotland: "We need to follow up [last weekend], otherwise it was just a nice weekend.

"We needed that result, we needed those points. We set the target to be somewhere when the split ends, we need to achieve something in this game, nothing has changed.

"We need to get some kind of run going and there's not better place to do it than today."

  5. Critchley explains striker decisionpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 12 April

Motherwell v Heart of Midlothian (15:00)

Hearts head coach Neil Critchley explains his decision to start Musa Drammeh ahead of Lawrence Shankland with James Wilson suspended.

"Musa did really well in training this week," he tells BBC Scotland.

"We want, in that position, pace and power and the ability to run in behind, which he brings. I wouldn't say Musa and Shanks are competing for the same position - Shanks has actually been playing in a different position.

"We always want to be competing at the top end of the league, so we know the importance of today. We want to bounce back from last week and this is our next opportunity to do that."
