Into the final five minutes at Easter Road and Dundee United are pressuring for a leveller.

The loft the ball into the box, it bounces about, Josef Bursik can't gather. United loft it back in, but it's cleared away again.

But hang on - we have a VAR check for a possible foul.

It would be a brave, and dare I say foolish person who would predict how this game is going to end.

I would buy the book 'Dundee Kilmarnock Encounters: 2023 - 2024'.

Another change for United - Jort van der Sande is on for Vicko Sevelj. Another attacking option on the pitch for the visitors.

What a time it would be for the big man from Bonaire to score his first United goal.

Kilmarnock winger Matty Kennedy shoots from distance but Jon McCracken saves comfortably for Dundee.

The goalkeeper then gives Bruce Anderson a little bump.

Derek McInnes has taken off Danny Armstrong and put on Jack Burroughs, which could mean a switch from 4-4-2 to a back three.

A cross somewhat fortuitously breaks to Josh Mulligan at the back post. He does well to shift the ball on to his right foot and shoot towards the target, but it's blocked.

The Dundee midfielder has already made a difference after coming on at the break.

Almost a second for Hibs - again!

Junior Hoilett's corner is met by Warren Ekpiteta. His header bounces into the ground and loops awkwardly, and Jack Walton has to tip over the bar.

    Dundee 1-2 Kilmarnock

Dundee have made two changes at the break. Josh Mulligan and Jordan McGhee are on for Ethan Ingram and Lyall Cameron.

Cameron is such a key player for Dundee so that's an interesting one from Tony Docherty.

Lewis Miller if the next to befall an injury. It seems to be a foot problem.

He has carried a threat for Hibs from set pieces today, and it's his goal that has the hosts ahead. He's replaced by Jack Iredale.

Disaster for United. They brought Kristijan Trapanovski on at half-time and he's already gone down with a hamstring problem.

Jim Goodwin said he didn't want to risk him but his hand was forced by the awful first-half performance.

    Kai Fotheringham is being readied.

I wondered if we could another Dundee/Killie epic - well, it is looking like we are.

In fairness, it was a slow burn but the game burst into life, after some calamity keeping from home goalie Jon McCracken, who gifted the visitors the opener.

That was the first of three goals in the final 10 minutes of the first half - one more going to Killie and one to the Dark Blues.

What that all means is that the second half is finely poised - lets hope the two teams pick up where they left off.
