Ipswich had tasted victory against more than 70 different teams since they last beat Norwich in April 2009.
All the talk before the game was about Marcelino Nunez, and though he only played the final 15 minutes off the bench against his former club, he had the last laugh, helping tee-up Town's third goal and then celebrating very conspicuously on the pitch after the full-time whistle.
I know you're wondering... expect the reverse fixture at Carrow Road to be an early kick-off on 12 April.
So we enter the international break with these two fierce rivals seemingly going in opposite directions.
It'll be a big couple of weeks for Liam Manning and the Canaries, while Kieran McKenna can plot a course towards automatic promotion when they return to action in the next Championship game, at Middlesbrough on Friday, 17 October.
We'll be here in the meanwhile to keep you abreast of all the goings on in League One and Two, of course.
Thanks for your company and enjoy the rest of your weekend...
