  1. goal

GOAL Aberdeen 0-1 St Johnstonepublished at 15:27 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December

    Makenzie Kirk

As we were saying about Aberdeen in trouble...

Nicky Clark crosses the ball in, and Aberdeen's left-back James McGarry hits it off his own face as he tries to clear.

It falls for Kirk who slams Saints into the lead!

You wouldn't want to play poker with Jimmy Thelin - his face gives nothing away.

But he can't be that happy with what he has seen from his Aberdeen side so far.

  3. Postpublished at 15:25 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December

    Celtic 1-0 Hibernian

As mentioned, Hibs get in behind yet again - and spurn the chance yet again.

Mykola Kuharevich's first touch trampolines too far in front of him and allows Kasper Schmeichel to come out and make the save.

Visiting boss David Gray must be raging.

    Celtic 1-0 Hibernian

    BBC Scotland at Celtic Park

Alastair Johnston, in chasing back to try to avoid conceding a corner, has just wiped out substitute Paulo Bernardo, warming up near the corner flag.

Looked like a sore one for the right-back. Right before another unbelievable chance for Mykola Kuharevich, saved again by Kasper Schmeichel in the Celtic goal.

  5. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December

    St Mirren 0-0 Motherwell

    Almost an opener for Motherwell!

Goalkeeper Ellery Balcombe punches away the initial effort from Ewan Wilson before Jair Tavares' follow-up smacks off the underside of the crossbar.

It wouldn't have counted, though, as the referee blows for a foul on Balcombe by Andy Halliday.

  6. End-to-endpublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December

    Dundee United 0-0 Kilmarnock

Another United chance, another Robby McCrorie save. This time, Emmanuel Adegboyega strikes low, but the Kilmarnock goalkeeper is equal to it.

Killie quickly break, but striker Kyle Vassell's teasing delivery finds no takers.

  7. goal

GOAL Heart of Midlothian 1-0 Dundeepublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December

    Lawrence Shankland

The return of the Shanks - at last - and a sigh of relief rings round Tynecastle!

The drought is over, and it's a precision header from Shankland at the back post back across the keeper.

    Couldn't have been placed better.

    Dundee United 0-0 Kilmarnock

    Kenny Crawford

It’s Dundee United wing-back Will Ferry’s birthday today.

The former Cheltenham Town man is 24.

Let’s see if he can produce something special to mark the occasion.

  9. Postpublished at 15:21 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December

    Dundee United 0-0 Kilmaronck

United manager Jim Goodwin must wonder how his side are not ahead after a dominant opening 20 minutes.

For a moment, it looks like Kilmarnock may even go ahead as Fraser Murray turns and shoots from the edge of the box, but it's a straightforward save for goalkeeper Jack Walton.

  10. Postpublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December

    Heart of Midlothian 0-0 Dundee

Another chance for Hearts - and again it comes down the left hand-side.

James Penrice finds Musa Drammeh at the back post, but the forward can't make a proper connection.

  11. Postpublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December

    Celtic 1-0 Hibernian

For all of Celtic's dominance in possession, Hibs could have scored two or three already.

Joe Newell is unmarked on the penalty spot, but the midfielder blazes miles over the bar.

  12. Dundee boss concernedpublished at 15:20 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December

    Heart of Midlothian 0-0 Dundee

    Brian McLauchlin
BBC Sport Scotland at Tynecastle Park

Tony Docherty is looking a very frustrated figure in the Dundee dugout. Hearts are completely dominating possession and the visitors are really struggling to get any grip on the game.

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:16 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December

    Dundee United 0-0 Kilmarnock

Kilmarnock are hanging on here. This time they are reliant on goalkeeper Robby McCrorie to intervene.

Will Ferry does well to find space and lays the ball on beautifully for Ryan Strain, but he cannot get the better of the visiting stopper.

  18. Dull start in Granite Citypublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December

    Aberdeen 0-0 St Johnstone

    Tyrone Smith
BBC Sport Scotland at Pittodrie Stadium

Aberdeen versus St Johnstone are rarely the most eye catching of affairs.

The opening period of this edition of the game hasn't been great and I perhaps shouldn't be too surprised.

  19. Postpublished at 15:14 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December

    Heart of Midlothian 0-0 Dundee

Blair Spittal almost scores from 50 yards!

Dundee goalkeeper Jon McCracken clears a long ball out wide and the visiting midfielder volleys it back towards goal... but it trickles just wide.

  20. History repeating?published at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December

    Celtic 1-0 Hibernian

    Kheredine Idessane
    BBC Scotland at Celtic Park

I mentioned this to Hibs head coach David Gray pre-match: in the last two encounters earlier this season, Celtic were two up inside 20 minutes.

The visitors are in danger of history repeating itself here, with the home side looking dangerous every time they get near the capital side's box.
