Feel Kudus could be another N’Dombele for Spurs. On his day looks unbeatable, unfortunately due to attitude the day doesn’t come often enough.

  2. What are West Ham's attacking options?published at 14:51 British Summer Time

The main forwards that will be left on the books of West Ham are Maxwel Cornet, Niclas Fullkrug, Crysencio Summerville and Jarrod Bowen.

The Hammers last month said they have delayed a decision on Michail Antonio's future as the striker, who is the club's record goal scorer in the Premier League, continues his recovery from a serious car accident in December.

That decision could then play a factor in who they approach in the market.

According to the Mail,, external Graham Potter's side are battling Wolves to sign £25m-rated Nice and Ivory Coast striker Evann Guessand.

    Could he be the replacement?

    West Ham United

West Ham finished 14th in the Premier League last campaign, with only five teams scoring less than their 46 goals.

Jarrod Bowen grabbed 13 of those goals to be their top scorer, followed by Tomas Soucek, who bagged nine league goals.

The question many West Ham fans seem to be most concerned about is how the club's owners intend to reinvest the money they stand to earn from the proposed £55m sale of Mohammed Kudus to Tottenham.

It seems attacking reinforcements are at the very top of their wish-lists.

  5. First business between West Ham and Spurs for 14 yearspublished at 14:43 British Summer Time

If Tottenham do succeed with their pursuit of Mohammed Kudus, it will mark the first player deal between the two clubs since Scott Parker joined Spurs in 2011 - for a fee of about £5m.

It has taken 14 years for another switch from the Hammers to Spurs.

    Only time will tell Conor.

Plenty of views expressed by West Ham fans on here and they seem to be veer between:

    • Viewing Mohammed Kudus as being a potential game-changer who may prove to be a steal for Spurs at £55m
    • To being relieved he is set to leave the London Stadium, especially at that price.

I was underwhelmed with Kudus to start with and even more so now with the comparisons to our current players! Seems a lot of money for not really a statement signing!

This Kudus sale could either save our season or sink us. £55 million is simultaneously more than I thought we'd get for him based on last season, but an absolute steal by a rival based on his first season form. If he finds that form and whoever is brought in with these funds doesn't do the job, I don't know if I can handle another year of "be careful what you wish for".

Personally very glad to see Kudus go, terrible attitude (epitomised by 5 match ban for an embarrassing tantrum) and extremely disappointing form all of last year. £17m+ profit after last year's terrible season is great work, excellent transfer all round where we were guaranteed to make a big profit from the day he signed. Should be thought of as a very successful bit of recruitment for us.

  12. Kudus v Sonpublished at 14:14 British Summer Time

Son Heung-min's future at Spurs is unclear given he has just 12 months left on his contract, with interest in the forward from Saudi Arabia.

The Tottenham captain plays on the left and as a central striker, which is a void that Mohammed Kudus can fill.

Kudus or Madueke? The answer is neither is a good deal for the amount of money being touted. Kudus is a great player on his day, it's just that his day only comes around two or three times a season and he regularly goes missing, hardly the type of player Spurs need. Madueke is erratic and lacks composure. I can't imagine him accepting being backup to Saka at Arsenal in the run up to the World Cup and he's worse than Martinelli or Trossard on the left. Just bizarre for both Arsenal and Madueke himself.

Dribbles per 90 minutes is a stat that Mohammed Kudus (6.8) beats Kulusevski (4.5) on.

Successful dribbles Mohammed Kudus (3.2) also beats Kulusevski (1.4).

However in terms of carries per 90 minutes, Kulusevski 15.5 edges Kudus' 15.1.

Disappointed that Kudus has been sold well below the release clause figure but that was inflated in the first instance. Great first season when we were in Europe, but was well aware when we bought him that his temperament was an issue. Never the same player last season after the sending off at Spurs. Wants Champions League football so what happens when Spurs are knocked out by Christmas and he's off to AFCON? Won't be at Spurs more than 2 years max.

  18. Kudus v Johnsonpublished at 13:48 British Summer Time

Shall we look how Mohammed Kudus stacks up against the other Tottenham forwards?

Up first, Brennan Johnson, who mainly plays on the right wing.

Stats for 2024-25 Premier League season.

    Mohammed Kudus and Brennan Johnson

Dribbles per 90 minutes is another stat that Kudus (6.8) trumps Brennan Johnson (1.8) on.

Carries per 90 minutes at 15.1 to 8.1 also shows that Kudus likes to drive with the ball more than Johnson.

I struggle to see how Kudus fits in at Spurs, poor temperament (ask Van de Ven), prefers to play off the right and they already have Johnson and Kulusevski, just pay the extra reported 13 million to meet Eze's release clause as it's the centre midfield area where Spurs are most lacking.

  20. Will Kudus exit fund a West Ham rebuild?published at 13:37 British Summer Time

Mohammed Kudus’ proposed £55m move to Tottenham could see him become the latest player to leave West Ham in what promises to be a transitional summer for Graham Potter’s side.

The Hammers have already released Lukasz Fabianski, Aaron Cresswell, Vladimir Coufal, Danny Ings and Kurt Zouma, who between them made a combined total of 1,260 appearances, while out-of-contract veteran Michail Antonio could follow them out of the door when his future is eventually resolved.

West Ham are in need of younger players, having fielded the oldest starting line-up in the Premier League last season, with an average age of 28 years and 242 days.

The departure of Kudus, 24, will not help in that regard but should at least generate funds for Potter, who may need to sell before he can buy during this transfer window.
